Toward the end, the devil passes a shot of whiskey to Sam (who is drinking beer) and calls it a chaser. That is backwards. When drinking straight distilled booze the alcohol content is so high it causes some damage to the esophagus. A low alcohol chaser (like beer, water or soda) rinses and thus minimizes damage to the esophagus.
