No racism in this episode, or in this series.
TeaBunny6 July 2008
The Simpsons has something for everyone. Homer is stupid, Marge represses her anger, Lisa is a PC Feminist, Bart is destructive. Dr. Hibbert has been seen in a Mr. T mohawk, an 80's fade, a hippy afro and a Cosby sweater. Apu owns the Kwikee-Mart. Krusty's dad is a Hasidic Rabbi. Ned Flanders and his brood are super-Christians.

Most of the characters on The Simpsons are "white" - (well, yellow). Cletus and Brandine are hillbilly caricatures. No one is actually like this. Anyone calling this racism is very silly. And considering all the crap "white" people have given other colors and races over the centuries, I think a little redneck fun-poking ain't gonna hurt no one no how. Lighten up, y'all.

A much better episode

Bart gets a cow, and nearly married in this fun episode of the show from its 19th series, that happily is a marked improvement from the previous show.

There are some great lines along the way here, with some classic 'Homer-isms'. It was also nice to see a softer side to Bart too.

An extra point is given to it by me personally for the 'Pirates 3' joke, which I thought was great.

There is always a nod to something

My favorite part is the nod to Casablanca at the end. Almost every episode does this so all age groups get something! If you didn't catch the Casablanca reference, just ask your parents or google "end of Casablanca"

Spider Pig, Spider Pig

Apocalypse Cow was an okay episode. I have watched 17 other Season 19 episodes, and there were 5 bad, 7 okay, 1 good, and 5 really good episodes. This episode falls in the okay category. In this episode I liked the relationship between Bart and Lou, that was very sweet. But an even sweeter relationship is the relationship between Bart and Santa's Little Helper. That's something special. But there something else I want to talk about. The Spider Pig cameo. Yes that's right. Spider Pig was shown briefly in this episode for around two seconds. Isn't that soo amazing!!! The last time we saw Spider Pig in this season was the season premiere, and now our favorite character is back. I have a theory that Spider Pig can travel through multi verses, like Miles Morales. Anyway, that was a very cool cameo and it was easily the best part of the episode. Spider Pig, Spider Pig, dies whatever a Spider Pig does. Spider Pig, shows up, in a cool cameo. We are glad, so so glad. Spider Pig is our hero. In all, I give this 6.8 out of 10.

Nice

Episode that tells all the love that a person can have for an animal and tells how far he can go to save it from the horrible end to which it is destined.

Apocalypse Cow

Warning: Spoilers
Weakest episode. Don't they do any sort of normal plot anymore, like Marge would sign off on Homer going to the slaughterhouse in the cow suit.
