Serious Episode
Hitchcoc13 May 2021
This gets us into the tactics used by the FBI to track terrorists. It is no secret that once identified, a person who has connections with a country with terror cells is pretty much done. Charlie gets into it with Don and takes a serious risk. There is so much complexity here and invasions into human rights. Well constructed though frustrating episode.

When assumptions & prejudice collide
Shiryu0515 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is a perfect example of the prejudicial attitudes exhibited by the FBI/CIA/NSA etc. When Don says something to the effect "we have a right to protect our country" and Charlie says they need to share research, I'm on Charlie's side. The actions of many global superpowers have negatively affected hundreds of millions of innocent souls over simple power plays. What gives the select few (USA/Israel etc) the right to have nuclear weapons or weaponized bioagents vs other countries when the US/Israel etc. have been aggressors in illegal wars numerous times?? It is utterly hypocritical, especially when you consider that many key US researchers are not "home grown". Fantastic episode!

Back to the show's original excellence
zenpups3 January 2009
I have been so disillusioned with Season 4 of numbers that I wasn't sure I'd even watch season 5. Fortunately, the cast and crew pulled it together for a season finale that made the grade for me, renewing my faith in the series.

It was intelligent and gripping, unpredictable and full of pathos and angst. The issues were real and thought-provoking. Krumholtz's superb acting was given a chance to shine. His character was again three dimensional and the others all played against each other beautifully. Even Farr played her character in a way that was both emotional and strong. (She had been positively drippy lately.) The math wasn't over-explained with silly metaphors and some of it was even believable.

This was one of the best episodes of the show ever.

same old garbage in garbage out

The most interesting character of this whole series is judd hirsch ... charlie uses his phd like a sword thinks he can vanquish anyone and don uses his badge in the same manner...,neither listens to their father and none of them have a love life ... they are married to their work ...i like amita because she is really smart and shows a lot of common sense ... larry has been figmo from day one and now that megan is gone he will disintegrate
