A Good Twist Makes The Obvious Not So Obvious
ccthemovieman-11 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
For awhile I was surprised how obvious the writers made the guilty party. It wasn't hard to figure out. Ah, but they didn't disappoint me; they added a big twist to the story......and a good one at that!.

The "perp" was someone who set a fire in Stella's apartment building, helping torch her place, too. The question, of course, is "who did it?" That's especially important since a dead body was found in one of the rooms. The poor stiff was really charred and actually looked ghoulishly cool in a Halloween-like way.

Interesting trivia facts learned in this episode: goldfish turn a pinkish, pale color when in the dark for several days. When an auto airbag is deployed, the driver will usually have both thumbs broken if both hands are on the steering wheel.

Also of note is Lyndsay's admission to Danny that she loves him! Holy smokes (pun intended, with the storyline). What is Danny going to do about this?

Decent episode but.....

Warning: Spoilers
I was so distracted and disgusted to find out Danny is a sorry POS. To feel better after his neighbor died, he decides to start an affair with the boy's mother. Only he doesn't have the decency to break things off with Lindsey. He just tells her she's over reacting to him missing her birthday or not wanting to have lunch. There was an episode in seasons one or two that Aiden tells him he's not good enough for her. It turns out she was actually right.

the case was very interesting and well handled. and then there is the but.

Warning: Spoilers
the case was really interesting. it was predictable to a certain degree but the fact that we thought that we had it all figured out only to realize that no, we didn't, made it even better.

every one did a great job. it was refreshing to see more of Stella and less of Mac.

Adam was super cute in his scene with Stella and I loved Hawkes all geeked out again.

angry Flack is sexy as hell.

Lindsay finally showed the strength we all knew she had.

and then there is the BUT. Danny being reduced to lying, cheating, selfish thing (they even managed to make him unattractive) and bringing back Rikki Sandoval. if they wanted drama - because there clearly wasn't enough of that in the lab, they could have made it 20 millions different ways and they chose the one that not only destroyed a very sweet romance but a very interesting character.

this episode made me love Lindsay even more but it also achieved that I now don't like Danny at all. so great job, TBTP.
