Pretty good

Warning: Spoilers
I am a Katie Leclerc fan. Overall good movie with a good plot and acting. The only flaw I thought was when someone dies in any hosital (especially babies) an autopsy is carried out. The blood test would have shown the baby was not theirs!

For a lifetime movie, this one was very good from start to finish. Definitely plays with your head until the shocking revelation at the end. Highly recommend

Mother Knows Worst, Isn't Lifetime's Best.
Katie Leclerc is always a delight. She delivers a great performance with some extra nuance that a lesser actress might not have added.

The writing on this one let me down. A little too convoluted and too many misdirects to really trust any character POV. Like, who am I rooting for here? Still enjoyable enough due to the strong performances.

Pour it Up! 🔪🔪🔪 (3 Knives) 🍷🍷🍷 (3 glasses of wine required)

Decent thriller to start...trash ending

Warning: Spoilers
So the person forcing themselves on a couple and their new baby ends up not being the "ill" one? Right..sure. We're supposed to buy that the main character, in spite of overstepping all kinds of boundaries, is actually not a bad person, bc of SPOILER ALERT.....reasons. Please! I was actually into this movie until I saw what was happening. Her behavior which concerned both her husband and best friend ended up being no big deal. NEVER ONCE did we see her "connecting" with the baby. We saw her doing things with someone else's (presumed) child that she had no business doing, and that is not ok!

Lifetime needs to do better. Their "gotchas" rarely work. Olivia and Nancy have VERY different body types and it was so clearly OLIVIA'S actress (or stunt double) that attacked the nanny...all so Lifetime could try to throw us off. So obvious and cringey.

I started FF'ing in the last half hour. This movie would have been much better had it been a poor man's version of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle right til the end.

Pretty good movie with a predictable plot
lololguys20 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was good and kept the suspense up throughout.

My main problem with it was that it was too predictable. I knew who the real antagonist was going to be within the first 1 minute, just by looking at them (Hint: it's the rugged looking strong/rich guy giving off creep vibes 95+% of the time). Based on that, the whole plot becomes very obvious in the first five minutes of the movie. If it had been a different, more innocent looking actor for the villain, it would have been much more solid/suspenseful.

Stupid title and weak obvious plot
deedrala17 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It was so glaringly obvious from the first five minutes that the babies were switched - all that was left to figure out after that were the details involved, which were revealed at the end by Glen before he was shot. Ho hum.

Typical Lifetime flick with the implied villain being the mom who lost her baby but it turned out that she was really the victim of other characters who were presented as good/decent/honest but actually were not. They try to keep the viewer guessing all through the movie as to whether Olivia is truly unhinged and obsessed with someone else's baby, but I knew all along not to believe the manipulation because it was too obvious that she was the real mother of the baby.

I can rarely figure out the plot of most LMN movies but this one was too easy. It was obvious when the nurse told them "I'm sorry but your baby didn't make it". And of course they just accepted it and didn't question her at all or try to find out for sure, etc. I mean, come on...

A real surprise with a shocking twist. Major spoilers ahead
lisafordeay15 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
A Deadly Lullaby(A Mother Knows Best) is a 2020 Thriller about a young couple who sadly lost their baby at stillbirth. Meanwhile another couple welcomed a baby girl named Sienna and Olivia(who lost her baby)decides to befriend Brooke. However is there more to this story that meets the eye?.

When I first saw this film I litreally thought that Olivia was going to be the evil lead who wanted Brooke's baby but in actual fact the real villian isn't Olivia at all or Brooke,it was a nurse named Nancy who swapped Brooke's deceased baby with Olivia and Brooke was the one who lost her child and not Olivia, meaning Sienna is Olivia's daughter.

Overall I thought it was a good flick.

Great plot twist & Great acting
seanc197730 March 2020
I thought it could possibly be a "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle" type rip-off. Fortunately it wasn't.

Original storyline, not typically predictable - nice plot twist.

Really good acting from all four of the main cast. I particularly enjoyed Todd Cahoon's performance and hope to see him get a lot more work.

One of the better Lifetime movies I've seen, for sure.

Quite good with a twist ending!!!
Chartreuse131 March 2020
Olivia lost her baby and becomes obsessed with her friend Brooke's baby so much to the point that she becomes unhinged. But is that really what ends up being the truth of what happened??? This is one of the Lifetime better movies which keeps you guessing.....Excellent acting and a good plot! Highly recommended!

I watch every new Lifetime movie and this is the best one I've seen in a while. This is one I actually didn't have the plot figured out until the end. Great acting too! Adorable baby too!

A Shocking Twist Comes At You!
ecspringer201022 February 2021
This movie started out very close to a 1990's thriller called The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, but as you venture further into this Lifetime movie, you will see it is far from it, that is, when the twist you do not expect comes at you! Very well acted, very well done and I highly suggest watching this film, it is less than a year old, so I am sure Lifetime will rerun this movie, and I am sure it will be available on other formats, such as Amazon Prime, but again very worth it!

The Vital Importance of Latching
lavatch26 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
An important detail is revealed in a conversation about mothering between the two vulnerable women, and the scene is at the very heart of this drama. Olivia Davis, who lost her baby Chloe while still on her birthing bed, has found that her life has been revivified by spending time with little Chloe, the baby of Brooke Wilson. In an intimate moment, Brooke tells Olivia that Chloe had difficulty in "latching" during the breast-feeding process, resulting in the use of the bottle. The insecure Brooke even consulted a latching specialist to no avail. The underlying importance of latching is central to understanding the mystery of what happened at the hospital when Olivia and Brooke gave birth to baby girls at almost exactly the same moment.

"A Mother Knows Worst" (a.k.a., "A Deadly Lullaby") maintains good dramatic tension and a brisk pace throughout the film. It would appear that Olivia has become obsessed with little Chloe and may be stalking the Wilson family. But even darker forces are at work in this harrowing tale of two mothers.

The secondary characters were especially well-developed, including the devoted husband Harry, who remains steadfast in his love for Olivia. Then, there is Glenn Wilson, who offers Harry a job in his accounting firm after the tragedy of losing his child. Ironically, Harry discovers a $50,000 accounting error that discloses a curious transaction on the island of Santo Enrique, which will contain the key clue to a secret payout.

Another interesting character is Nurse Nancy, who was the sole medical practitioner on duty when the two babies, Chloe and Sienna, were alone in the nursery. Nancy may hold the secrets to a dastardly plot involving a switheroo and a changeling child.

The film's denouement was overly smarmy with Brooke and Olivia laughing and hugging at an outdoor barbeque. The very pregnant Brooke has just latched on to "Rob" in a whirlwind romance, and she is excited about her upcoming shotgun wedding. Given the wrenching melodramatic action that preceded this scene, the uplifting ending seemed slightly excessive. Brooke's focus should have been on latching, not laughing!

Quite a good film
piper-032426 May 2021
Compared to a lot of afternoon tv psychological films, this isn't bad. It leads you down a fairly predictable path, but then the ending takes you on a different tangent. It's well acted and definantly one if the better films.
