One of the best episodes ever.

When most comedy shows try to make a horror episode they normally fail emulate or parody and fail to feel right. Psych isn't a show that does this. This episode is pure gold, with quite a twist and puts some blockbuster slashers to shame. Shawn is on form as ever showing the awesome on screen with Gus. There are some moments that make you laugh and even a couple of jumpy moments (a great homage/parody of slasher films) Wish it the episode had been a double so it could have been more drawn out, but that might just be my greed.

A must watch episode for fans of the series. So if you've watched the first two season and are wondering which ones to watch from three, this is a must.

Highlight of season 3 (along with An Evening With Mr Yang)

This is one of the best episodes of the series

I'm a horror movie fan and also enjoy quirky comedy so this episode was a perfect introduction to Psych. Shawn and Gus interact beautifully, as always. Clive's (Foggy Nelson from Netflix's Daredevil) references were awesome. Plenty of spookiness, subtle jokes and references, interesting story and plot twists should easily make this one of the top 10 episodes of the series for anyone. Probably top 5 for me but I'm biased since this was the first episode of Psych I watched back when this episode originally aired on Friday the 13th of February 2009.

Only gripe about this episode is the B storyline but I think it just was some filler to have the Chief and Lassie in this episode and kind of break up the tension from the main story. However, that does keep this episode from being a 10 for me.

"Shawn! What are we doing here?"

An old friend asks Shawn and Gus for help. He's reopening the old summer camp from the boys' youth. One of his new counselors has gone missing. Before you can say "pineapple", Shawn and Gus find themselves face-to-face with an axe-welding maniac.

What an absolutely wonderful episode! As a long time fan of Friday the 13th, Tuesday the 17th hits every mark perfectly. From the title sequence, music cues, various set-pieces, the camp setting, the filming style, jump scares, and the storyline, the slasher tropes are played to perfection. Not only does it take elements from Friday the 13th, but old-school horror fans will undoubtedly notice bits from April Fool's Day long before Shawn points it out. And, if I'm not mistaken, there's even a small bit from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's easily one of the creepiest, and most fun, episodes in Psych's run.

I have seen this episode so many times...but I never realized that when Shawn finds Annie he says "Annie? Are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?" He was quoting Smooth Criminal. I enjoy the quirkiness and jokes so much more and this is incredibly clever.

When the show finally hits its stride

Warning: Spoilers
The first 2 3/4 seasons are good to great but this episode and the next 3 seasons are the height of the show. When the writers perfectly blend serious and comedy and when the actors all really had boat loads of chemistry built. This is the start of the show we all love and that is now a classic. The episode that follows and this one are the real beginning of God tier psych episodes. This episode is a clear spoof on 70-80's slasher thrillers but done in a lovely psych fashion. The next episode is one of the greatest hours of television ever written , filmed, acted and aired. Jimmy Simpson joins the ranks to really take it over the top.

Enjoyable Episode......Was THAT really Justine Bateman?

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILERS AHEAD:

This episode was shown in a Halloween marathon, so it does have some scary moments to it. Of course, its "Psych" so it also has some hilarious moments too, as the guys fall into a trap, feel duped, then really run for their lives.

It's a homage to the "Friday 13th" movies, without showing the gore. The setting is a camp and a ramshackle one to boot. The guys are invited back (they've been there before), by a friend. The set-up is really good, with twists and turns.

Check out the cameo appearance of Justine Bateman! I watched this entire show with her in it and only realized at the end that it was her! Just WHO did her hair and makeup? She looked Awful. Now that was the scariest moment!
