In the opening scene they find Dr. Auerbach "frozen solid" and we are told it is due to his breathing liquid nitrogen. If the Dr. had inhaled liquid nitrogen it would have immediately frozen his lungs, therefore preventing it from traveling throughout his body in order to freeze the rest of it, not to mention that if it had begun to enter his blood stream via the lungs it would have frozen the blood and traveled no further. However if someone had submersed him in liquid nitrogen it would have had the general effect shown; but he would have quickly begun to thaw had he not been maintained in a below 32 degrees Fahrenheit temperature space. Since nothing else in the room is frozen, nor do we see the standard reactions to cold, i.e. visible breath, then the temperature in the lab must be well above 32 degrees Fahrenheit and so Dr. Auerbach should not appear to be "frozen".
Several people, including the animal activists who should know better, referred to the chimpanzee as a 'monkey': chimpanzees are apes. In addition one the activists said the chimpanzee had a mate that died: she was too young to have a mate.
