Ecological teen's game
searchanddestroy-16 March 2020
A very disturbing tale this scheme of bored teenagers, two girls in their fifteen, who decide to get rid of people by poisoning liquid ice creams with toxic substance picked up during a session of beach cleaning. This story takes place on the coast of Britanny. A very strange atmosphere pulled by a very adequate soundtrack or even no soundtrack at all. This ecological scheme, or environmentalist story, reminded me, from another angle, a French film from 2003: LE PHARMACIEN DE GARDE.

admirable

Admirable. For the fair - precise exploration of different themes, for the clear definition of childhood ( with some sparkles of Lord of lies by William Golding ), for dark beach and for games, flirting, fascination for short videos, fashion , steps of revenge.

Inspired photography, inspired soundtrack.

And few memorable scenes.

It can be an ecological manifesto , it has virtues to represent a beautiful warning about tourists presence menace but , in same measure, it is a subtle, special portrait of the end of childhood. Essential remains the message after the last credits . It is a state , the dead body on rocks, the seaweed in juice boxes, the floating pieces of marine algae are not only demonstration of cruelty of early youth but a great story about a form of self defense and correct warning.
