Invasion of the sulphur breathing worms!
Tweekums4 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This episode sees an anomaly open on the fifteenth floor of an office block; it is from a much older era than previously discovered anomaly. The upper floors of the building start to fill with a sulphurous fog… a fog that contains giant worm-like creatures that attack the unfortunate workers. The team turn up to deal with the situation along with Claudia Brown lookalike Jenny Lewis who is more than a little shocked to discover just what her new job involves. Away from this monster Helen Cutter returns to the present and turns up at Stephen's flat after getting injured in the past and Connor has some suspicions about a man he sees working at ARC… he looks suspiciously like the cleaner who was injured by a baby raptor in the previous episode.

This was a fairly solid episode with scary monsters and some great moments. The way the creatures were hidden in the sulphurous fog added to their scariness but not half as much as their lamprey like mouths. There are plenty of exciting moments; highlights being when Nick uses a katana to dispatch one of the creatures that had Connor's head in its mouth and creatures exploding leaving their spawn attempting to burrow into people's bodies. The reappearance of 'The Cleaner' added a sense of mystery that will presumably be returned to throughout the season. It was intriguing to see how different Jenny is to Claudia; whether we learn more about why she is different or if it is just one of those things remains to be seen. There are also some amusing moments that don't feel forced or detract from the main story. Overall a pretty solid episode.

Stephen becomes a handy man with an Axel!
sinceverona27 July 2009
When a new anomaly opens it brings a worm like creatures that bring with them their atmosphere which is based on sulfur. Unfortunately since it looked that an office building was in fire the fire fighters was called first. When a fire alarm get's activated ,everyone leaves out except a few employees in a conference hall. When a chief fire fighter who arrives first is killed,a second firefighter is left alone to fight the creatures. When Nick and Stephen arrive, Jenny is persistent to know what is happening but they brush her off saying it is her job to keep everyone out. But after Nick warned her not to use elevator but only steps, she replies to herself "in these heels" and of course disobeys him. Aldo the worm like creature looked really repulsive, their technique was to suck their pray through mouth, like snake. When Stephen killed the first creature and saved the firefighter that was excellent. In later scenes he jumped from table to table trying to get away, but again the best action scenes went to Nick who saved Jenny from being eaten. Connor arrives at the scene, just to look stupid. I must admit it was interesting to see how they all battled the creatures with everything that literally get into their hands. Of course what I liked the best was the solution of how to get rid of the worms. Loking back this episode had more face to face action than any other.
