Warning: Spoilers
The session with Sophie, the teenager that is coming to see Dr. Weston for the trauma she experienced when she had a terrible accident, proves to be a difficult time for her. This troubled youth has experienced a lot in her short years. Not having a male figure at home, she had bonded with her gymnastic coach Cy, a relationship that almost wrecked his marriage.

In the course of the session, Sophie reveals she had sex with a young man. She is blase about it, something that puzzles the therapist. To complicate things, Sophie begins to talk about the accident, although it the subject is still too vivid and too painful to go into. At the end of the session she excuses herself to go to the bathroom. In the medicine cabinet, she finds sleeping pills that Paul had left there. Sophie, in a moment of what appears, anger, takes a few pills and collapses on the floor. Paul comes to her rescue. When he calls for Kate's help, he realizes she is not there! Rodrigo Garcia directed Sarah Treem's screenplay. The director gets fine acting from Gabriel Byrne and Mia Wasikowska. The series is based on an Israeli television presentation called Be'Tipul, which has been adapted for American audiences.
