I like this show for most parts but some parts i just don't agree with. There are some scenes which look kinda forceful and that just made me uncomfortable. Other than that it's a really good show. Gulf has done really good acting. I would recommend this show.

First time for BL Thai to me, I thought Tharntype was bored but I was wrong. This series is really cute, I like the way the build Tharn and Type relationship. Some moments I've smile without control.
Of course Tharntype is not a perfect story until the end, but the feeling after will make you happy for sure.

The leading actors (Mew and Gulf) have absolutely amazing chemistry during their love scenes. When things aren't tense, the way they look at each other and smile just melts my heart. However, I couldn't help but constantly feel really bad for Tharn. I honestly don't know why he'd want to be with such a physically and verbally aggressive guy. It makes me so mad when Type pushes him around and gets physical with him (and not in a good way). I feel that it not showing a healthy relationship doesn't help the community or the viewers to understand what is healthy or not. There could have been just as much drama without physically hurting Tharn multiple times. It always seemed to be him too, and he's just the cutest and sweetest thing. Ugh! That's my only gripe though.

One of the best BL's I've watched. I assumed this to be as same as everyone else but TharnType proved me wrong. I think Type's character development is one of the bests I've seen. Not to mention the romance is to die for and their chemistry is on fire. They have the best chemistry together and really shows, and Mew and Gulf give amazing performances together. Also the side characters are really well done as well. Only small minus is that the show doesn't seem to know the word consent.
KUDOS TO THE BEST BL SERIES EVER!!!

This is my first time creating an imdb account and writing a review because I can't stay silent without recommending this beautiful masterpiece to everyone out there. I've watched several BL series/movies of different genres and different languages before watching TharnType. I just finished this series last month and I still can't move on. I even cried for about 5 days because of the emptiness I feel after finishing it. TharnType has set the bar too high that I'm having a hard time starting a new series😭 Actually, I've heard of MewGulf but I had no idea why they were so popular back then. But after binge watching the series and clips on youtube, I realize that NO ONE EVER DOES IT LIKE MEWGULF. Their chemistry as TharnType is so amazing. They don't have any sex scenes but their hot steamy kisses did everything. Also the sweet scenes are surely gonna make you feel like a professional third-wheeler. You can literally feel love in their eyes. Needless to say, their chemistry as MewGulf in real life is so real and adorable. I don't feel any awkwardness between them.
Another thing I love about this series is the soundtrack. "Be Mine" is the best Thai song I've ever heard and I started learning Thai just because I want to learn this song byheart.
So overall, I'd give 100 stars if I can but 10 stars is the maximum so there it is. If you haven't watched TharnType the series, please do watch it. I highly recommend this to you. Hope to see Mew (Tharn) and Gulf (Type) in more projects together.

The actors have unique chemistry and the plot is very interesting. Funny, romantic , intense, sad scenes,all these and many more are included in this series. It is a really great production! Season 2 which airs now is as good as the first one. I would recommend this series to anyone without second thoughts!

The best part od this series is the main characters acting in love scenes. You just believe that they are in love with each other. What is more, there wasn't even a minute that was boring. Plot twist with a little bit drama and comedy is what you can find watching TharnType.
I also need to give credit for music - just love two main song - both music and lyrics <3.

And I loved the plot.
But I was not a fan of all the characters... I did like most and I liked the main couple too... But my feelings on the character of Type were a bit all over the place.
The whole plot behind his personality was a nice touch and it kinda redeemed him, but i think the characters hatred was a bit over the top. Like at one point it was just one insult too many for me to still tolerate the character and i started disliking him.
I mean I undrstand the whole hatred thing, but like the characters hatred is a bit extreme. Like some stupid people say "not everything can be excused by period"

What sets this BL series apart from most is that while most end with the first kiss, in this one the first kiss is at the beginning of the story and we get to see how two people manage to stay together for 8 years. The series is never boring, surprisingly not even on it's second season. There are also great secondary characters, most notably Techno, a really funny guy. Great job as well by the two leads, who make their characters seem very real. All round a fun, romantic and sometimes over the top watch.
A TEN. Definitely.

I don't always say something is perfect. But this drama...well, let's say it's on of the very best, produced by Thailand. And the actors showed off their amazing chemistry. The characters are nicely written and portrayed. The 18pg part is kinda acceptable and not too overwhelming, as for Thailand production standard. But definitely a must watch period.

BL dramas generally do not contain a great plot but we watch it for guilty pleasure. Still I think there should be accountability and credibility in the storyline and writing.
Now coming to the positive aspect, the lead actors have good chemistry and did not shy away from challenging scenes.
But assault, stalking, physical abuse scenes normalised in the name of love should not be okay. At least there should be a written warning when something like this is shown. If you can publish warning message at an eavesdropping scene (about how it is wrong) then I'm sure assault and non-consensual scenes require warning messages as well. Non-consensual intimacy is not romantic whether it's done by the main lead or a side(negative) character used as a roadblock. Still considering even if it is used as a plot point, necessary warning message and later on redemption arc in storyline should be present to connect well with the character that we are supposed to root for.
There was a plot which involved gang-rape of a minor, and it was dealt with such casualty that it was borderline traumatising.
Good writing can be achieved without deep diving into problematic scenarios and making the story a little close to reality so that the viewer and connect and appreciate more.

In short, I REGRET watching this series. Most of the cast roped in are debutants hence no extravagant performance can be expected. This was a spin off of LBC originally written by MAME, now conceiving a subsidiary plot named, 'Don't say NO' starring Leo and Fiat. There was no point in dragging the plot into a S2 except to strategically extract coins from the poor viewers. All the softcore make-out workshop sessions from behind the scenes that were released on media sufficiently lured the adolescents. Unfortunately, their little hearts were crushed by their favorite CP at the end of S2, as the actors sternly announced about sharing only professional friendship. Muffins were naïve enough to ship an aspiring idol with a model turned actor, while their faces screamed 'UNCOMFORTABLE' through out. People saw chemistry in their eyes, apparently, enough to grant them a dozen awards for two consecutive years. As an advantage of this popularity Mew gained through this series, his songs topped Billboard charts (hmff.... owing to the bunch of abominable scenes, I am sure)
Gulf being amateur, scenes were difficult to bear. He was chosen most handsome male Thai actor but to me, he resembles a blob fish (lol). Mew did not amaze me after his work in 'What the Duck?' I personally loved Pree-Rambo dynamic, hence cannot ship Mew-Gulf in spite of liking equal companionship. It was evident that they were forced to mechanically indulge each other for intimate scenes. Mew is renowned for his bold scenes from previous appearance, duping fans into believing that the actor is actually Bi. To the juvenile Fujos, here I give you search words for further reference - 'PreeBo scenes from What the Duck?' and 'Art Pakpoom accusing Mew Suppasit of sexual assault'. Now you know.....
Talking about the concept, it is hilarious and horrifying simultaneously. As ridiculous as it sounds, the plot shows that it takes a homosexual man to cure homophobia of an adult male who was once traumatized by a homosexual at early adolescence. So what's different? There is no consent either times. Only because the second attempt was made on a mature (above 18) male, it is named love? To me its still an assault. I would have respected this script if they portrayed that 'Tharn' had changed the negative feelings 'Type' carried towards queer people in general rendering them friends. We need such healthy mind set in our current society. Instead 'Type' begins to like this coercive penetration and succumbs to 'Tharn'. This only proves the fear of people right, doesn't it?? 'Homosexual men play their hands on other men forcing them into coitus. If the man making such inappropriate advancements is young, rich and handsome, crimes he does could be ignored?? Is that how it works in the country where this series has been filmed? Plot is just a typical Bl, in college setting with nothing to offer. The ending scene cracked me up, a queer man getting married to a lady walking down the aisle whereas two men (predictably heterosexual) rubbing foreheads depicting Queer love.
