Worthy indie effort
rmmil4 January 2022
This genre is a very difficult one to tackle, so have that be your initial directing effort, add in a real pregnancy and the barriers of low budget filmmaking, and I can honestly say the filmmakers accomplished a lot here.

Knowing the "low budget" nature of the film, I'm shocked at how clean it looks. Go to Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc, there are literally dozens of films shot on a budget similar to this one that don't look nearly as polished. Kudos to whoever was holding the camera, you have a future in cinematography.

The story itself suffered from a few pacing issues, there are too many scenes where nothing much happens. And the "sister" character's acting left a lot to be desired (although she's barely in it).

However, the leads did a fine job, Paula especially. I wish she was in more films, she can act.

Looking forward to what these filmmakers can accomplish with a larger budget in the future.

Not sure what all the rave is about

I struggled to sit through this, too many lost scenes waiting for something to happen, could have made dinner in a few of them. Acting was okay, nothing to write home about. Well done on the low budget though, but that shows.

Scary

Excellent movie, very well written and acted. Scary because it could happen here in USA, with the current atmosphere. I was glued to the movie from start to finish. I recommend it to everyone, especially, the politicans. We shouldn't take everything we have for guarantee, we could loose it in an instant.

An Emotional Rollercoaster Well Worth the Watch

I don't know if the creators of this film expected it to be as timely as it now seems, but it stands as a prescient warning. At the same time, the moments of joy and the level of excellence make this indie film a project worth taking the time to watch and digest.

A tense, emotional film

Set in an alternate US and shot documentary style, Paula Rhodes and Charlie Bodin have made a found-footage drama bookended with a baby diary. A tense thriller which hopefully stays fiction.

Absolutely Relevant-Frighteningly Possible

A very human condition set in turbulent times. Kudos to the creators and cast for their incredible ability to produce this gem on such a limited budget and with so few crew members. It is definitely worth watching today!
