Sweet short

Well, I think the synopsis writer and everyone else have got it wrong. Erik is played by a thirteen-year old as is Sofie. But the actor playing Arend was thirty five when this film was made and he looks it. Can't people tell ages? He's not a "hunkier teen"! He's Sofie's father, for goodness sake.

Despite Sofie's interest in Erik, he's more interested in Dad. The beauty of this film is that Dad knows it and is unfazed.

We don't get to see the drawing Erik did until the end of the story, but we should have guessed. It's an impossible infatuation, of course, but all the sweeter for not having been acted upon.

This was a definite recommend.

just beautiful

Maybe, lovely sounds more reasonable than beautiful. First, for the summer atmosphere, innocence and eroticism , good simplicity and nice end. But it is just a beautiful short film , proposing , in inspired manner, delicate subjects in decent manner, sparkles and the perspective, profound honest, of childhood. And, sure, seductive job of the young Yannick de Waal and Moo Miero.

Daddy issues.

I suppose we can all appreciate that feeling of having a crush on someone a bit older, as we are discovering who we are.

It's a cute film about that moment. A time where I wish I had acted upon my own feelings. It's an exciting time when anything can happen.
