This is a terrific episode. It focuses on Purcell. He engages Patty to represent him when he is jailed for his wife's murder. The key piece of evidence is a ruby ring that disappeared at the site. The big case is against a company that is contaminating water and killing livestock. They are big time and are as formidable as a Colombian drug cartel. There is an issue with Patty's son. Also, Tom and Ellen are sent south to investigate this area which spends the evenings burning cows and pigs. Obviously, any toxins in them would obliterated by the burning. I won't go into great detail, but the culminating scene is a hearing where Patty gets blindsided and we are made privy to some pretty interesting facts.
