"In this city few remember what came first, the egg or the chicken. (...) But those who do remember know that what came first was (...) the insatiable thirst of Men"

These are bold words to describe the setting for this story and our own contribution in this planet, although it might feel a bit shallow, given the broad strokes of the story.

Nevertheless, as a short film aimed at a younger audience, it is the little details that give it a particular interest. It is in the banality of the sale of gas masks as fashion items that we find the conformism of our attitude towards our own demise, portrayed in an exaggeratedly ironic but correct way.

And when Mr. Jay confuses the sound of the Twitter feed for an actual bird, we remember how technology has replaced so much in our lives. When the protagonist arrives at his typical portuguese street, he finds his neighbours talking on their phones, while next to each other, at their windows, just because they have the possibility.
