She doesn't have her senses...but I didn't know that commons ense was included in the 6 senses too 🙄

I mean... Just how daft can they make a character? Losing your sux senses doesn't make you daft and silly. Right? So why has nobody said anything about that aspect? She is daft, stupid, silly, and really really irritating.

Guys get this straight - being born without any senses means the senses like taste smell etc ... It does not mean that you're born without common sense, logic, normal interpersonal dynamics skill. It does not mean that one doesn't know the meaning of 'liking' someone. It doesn't mean that she's daft enough to not realise what platonic like is and what potential romantic like is. Yes?

Oh dear lord. This is such a massive loophole and such a major discontentment in this series and I'm shocked that none has spoken about it. Such a time waste. Urgh. I tried to hold on. But couldn't. She is really daft and mindless. And for the life of me I can't understand how losing your six senses means you turn out to be mindless, lacking common sense, and normal inter personal skills. Urgh.

Epic, Even by Traditional Wuxia Standards!

If you like Wuxia (Chinese Fantasy) shows, you already know that this genre revolves around sprawling storylines, massive/supernatural battles, and often features a love that transcends death. Because of the overwhelming amount of content, many wuxia films break down in one or more departments. This one, however, did a great job of delivering an emotional, justice-driven story filled with well developed characters, few plot holes, and even a happy ending to boot! On top of that it also features a powerful female protagonist (many wuxias feature strong women, but rarely in the physical sense).

Admittedly it had some flaws. There may have been a few more "You idiots!", "Well that was dumb", and "Stop screaming his name and DO something!" moments than I might have preferred (though that's pretty standard for most Asian films). Additionally the special effects got skimpy in places and the pacing was a bit uneven (especially toward the end). But overall, I thought this show was well done and satisfying, with less contrivance/melodrama than many others. Highly Recommended!

ROMANCE RATING: * * * 8/10. Although this story excels as an action film, it is less satisfying as a romance film. While I would give the main leads 9/10 for their solid couple compatibility and chemistry, I have to take a star for the lack of actual romantic contact.

There were just 3-4 featured kiss scenes, most of which were kept relatively brief and innocent. And since this show has a whopping 59 episodes with a prominent romantic storyline, the lack of payoff is noticeable (though the rest of the story does help to distract). In short, if you need a passionate liplock to feel rewarded for your time, this one will probably leave you hanging. But that's the worst I can say about this show!

This show is Tokusatsu mixed with Lord of the Rings. I mean that in a good way. As a lover of low-budget (compared with Hollywood) action scenes and JRPG conventions, I was hooked. The part were the Star of Mosha took over the body of Xuanji was amazing. Sifeng still loved her even though she had the body of a man. My favorite character was Yuan Lang, he just made me laugh every single time he was on the screen.

I have been watching dramas since th e last two years and this is the best so far. Only problem had to wait for such a drama with subtitles. This deserves a place in NETFLIX ofcourse. Binyan Chengyi chemistry is just so spell binding and flawless with their acting skills which makes it absolutely natural.

Outstanding Storyline. The Level Of Story buildup is even better than " Eternal Love and Ashes of Love"

I have watched The Greatest Chinese Fantasy Genre Series e.g ( Eternal love, Ashes of love, The untamed, Bloody Romance) So I can tell you that That this series just outperformed all those series in every department. (Just watch and then you will know what kind of story it is) The Character building / Fantasy Genre/ Emotions / Climax / Acting / all are just Perfect . Even have 59 episodes but the story line justifies the length of the series you will never be able to skip the episode Mark My Words..

Only one thing you will observe till 23rd episode that The Class of this series is not what "Eternal love" had, but but after 23rd you will found that This series is even better than Eternal love.

Even the Side stories are just amazing and they all are connected . Try and Enjoy

Best fantasy drama after ashes of love!!! Trust me and just watch it Hope this beautiful drama will be on Netflix so people will recognize this beautiful drama. Never boring moment ,actually I will skip many scene when watch long series drama, but not for this one👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I loved the entire episodes. It didn't bore me, not even once or twice. Casting acting backgrounds editing coherence and coordination everything were perfect.

Go for it, if you fancy fantasy series!

All in all, I enjoyed this show, but it is plagued with poor storytelling / directing.

The show is very draggy with repeat scenes of people saying or doing the same things over and over again. Hao Chen is always nagging Xuan Ji about over and over again with the same speech that it becomes a bore just to see him open his mouth from halfway through the show.

The plot armor is too strong for villains and main characters. Characters just refuse to die, and villains keep escaping repeatedly, which makes the series a drag to watch.

The story logic is also flawed. Every time Si Feng does something that will supposedly kill him as a sacrifice, he survives and after a few repetitions, it loses credibility. The number of times Si Feng pukes blood in this show is insane.

Characters are lack dimension in my opinion.

Xuan Ji and Si Feng also do not have much on-screen chemistry and their actions and decisions in the series do not win you over as it's not convincing that they would make such choices if they were in love. The neverending misunderstanding is also too unrealistic in a 'final destination' style.

The people in the story also seem to be subjected to too much mindless group think which is illogical and inconsistent with their nature. They also flip flop too much and easily, which discredits the supposed supporting characters as individuals.

The saving grace is certain side characters do shine in their role and provide comic relief. Teng She for example is one of my favorite characters.

All in all, I wish to fairly rate this drama and I feel that there is a lot of improvement that can be done to make this drama truly world-class. All in all, I enjoyed this show, but it is plagued with poor storytelling / directing.

Absolutely loved this drama! No story was left unfinished, and every single heart warming scene satisfied my passion for love stories! The two main leads had such great chemistry together and I felt every sweet and painful scene. Drama is very comparable to Ashes of Love.

CW's standard but highly recommended

Watched all the episodes without skipping entertaining but felt bored sometimes. Corny, crappy cgi or vfx but still gave it a chance since i love chinese novels and mangas ( not familiar with this title but felt like adaption of the novel that i read few years ago). In terms of action, adventure, mystic elements, world building, characters development, romance & comedy, everything executed properly (for a cable tv standards). Yes the corniness and actions were on par as the cw shows. Definitely wont watch again (50+ eps) but highly recommended.

Wow - Totally a Cheng Yi fan now. The amount of emotion and sincerity that he displayed in this drama is outstanding. A great actor and the chemistry between the leads are fantastic. A MUST RECOMMENDATION, 10/10 for me. Once again True Love at it's best. Loved it. Enjoy.

I finished the last episode and just sat there, overwhelmed. This is one of those things you don't watch, but experience. It's displaced Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood from my number 1 serial spot. Everything tied together beautifully in the end. It was my second Cdrama after General' Lady. Fantastic writing, storytelling, acting, and production. The OST, Colored Glass, is hauntingly beautiful and captures the essence of the story. A must watch.

I'm sure glad I stumbled upon this series on YouTube because it got me hooked from episode 1 and that's kind of rare for me when it comes to Chinese colossal / fantasy costume drama.

The story line is great, the flow of the story from one episode to the next is so enjoyable to watch that I barely press fast forward any part of this drama.

Crystal Yuan as Chu Xuan Ji is definitely to die for. She nailed every expression of "the naive and super cute Chu Xuan Ji" and "the fierce and conflicted God of War", in all different scenes so naturally. Her character is so lovable, her overloaded cuteness isn't annoying, and her onscreen chemistry with the leading actor is off the hook.

This drama has a perfect blend of great love story with awesome action scenes, cute/funny scenes, heart wrenching/ heart warming scenes, happy scenes, as well as quite impressive CGI. I love how in this drama everything is well explained and easy to digest. Top of it all, this drama probably has the most satisfying ending I've ever seen in any Chinese drama.

Absolutely loveeeeed it! From story to acting, cinematography, casting everything was outstanding. It's so unfair for these amazing dramas to compare these with one another. I am seeing reviews, YouTube ost comments comparing it wuth Ashes of love. AoL was another level. This is on different level.

But only thing I like better in this drama is the lead couple's chemistry. My oh my! This drama has one of the best kissing scenes in c drama history. Specially Episode 52 lol. No wonder there CP is so strong. But it's unfortunate when crazy CP went wrong and made Cheng Yi to lose 60k followers after wrap up party. I ship them 100 percent and want to see a s2 together and also a real life couple too! Way to go u two!

I think it's been a while since I've seen an amazingly made wuxia drama. The storyline and the cast is amazing when I started the drama I felt the chemistry between the leads was lacking but as each episode went by the chemistry became so amazing between the main leads. The graphics and fight scene in the series was well filmed and gave me goosebumps in many parts
