I went to see this movie with my children, aged 4 and 6. Both of them knew the animated series and really enjoyed it.
We had a wonderful afternoon at the cinema. My 4 year old, who is easily scared by "Bösewichte" (villains) had no problem at all with this movie. I recently learned that some movie adaptations of animated series try to make their movie "more interesting" by adding villains that are unknown to the original series (looking at you, "Fireman Sam: Norman Price and the Mystery in the Sky"). This movie doesn't.
"Lauras Stern" is not here to entertain us parents. It focuses on children. And that's a thing it does exceptionally well.
