A lighter, but still great episode with some important character development
caponem-0708524 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is just fun, but still touches on some important points. The dreams seem random, but they're all classic dreams that represent a fear of being unprepared and it's the first time Aang really had to face his fears that he may not be prepared for the invasion at all, causing him to loose sleep to the point of hallucinations, some of which are pretty hilarious. Appa vs. Momo is priceless. Then there's everything with Zuko, which is pretty compelling and important for fleshing out his character and the dilemma he's facing. However, to me, the highlight of the episode was how many times the got Mark Hamill to do an evil life. Although there are a lot of moment where you can hear his Joker voice bleed through in his performance as Ozai, this is the only time we get to hear several evil laughs and they were all fantastic. I personally quite enjoyed this episode.

Could've had better execution, but it was a great concept to begin with

Warning: Spoilers
Showing us the pressure Aang is under and how it affects him is a great episode to have and perfect in concept. In execution, it still kinda lives up to the task, but falls quite a bit in its goofy tone. Additionally, Zuko's side of this episode seemed a little empty.

In the other hand, the jokes were great and the concept, as said before, was fantastic. There was one of Aang's nightmares that was truly terrifying and fascinating, and the resolution of this arc is a little disappointing but also somewhat satisfying.

So, good episode but not as great as it could've been. 8/10.

It's silly but I like it
matitya-3393718 February 2024
When I review The Chase, I commented that it was a lot more mature than you would expect a Nickelodeon episode whose moral was the importance of sleep to be (you'd expect something like Beddy Bye from The Fairly OddParents). This is another episode with the same moral but I cannot say the same thing about this episode that I did about The Chase.

It's silly, corny and bizarre. I personally find it funny and as such enjoy the episode but if you're the kind of person who doesn't find a fun light-hearted episode with SpongeBob SquarePants levels of logic funny then you probably won't like this episode.

That said, this episode isn't filler. If you want to follow the show's storyline pay attention to the Zuko scenes. (In the interests of keeping this review spoiler free, that's all I'll say.)

The Funniest Episode in the series Warning: Spoilers
Lot's of people don't like much this episode. First time i watched this episode i didn't love either. But then i've watched it many times and then i realized that this episode is the funniest episode in the series. Aang's weird dream, his hallucinations are great. Especially Appa vs Momo always gets me.

Criminally Underrated!

The low rating on this episode is an absolute shame and a travesty!

This is one of the, if not the, funniest episodes in the entire series! I was laughing so much I thought I was going delirious. Aang's descent into sleep deprived paranoia and madness and stress and anxiety is captured brilliantly.

Absolutely Comedic genius Is on display here.

We also see Sokka's beautiful feet.

One of the series' worst episodes to date!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode despite not being a filler like the last one, was possibly the strangest and surely for me not in a good way. Despite keeping track with the big mission ahead for "Team Aang" this episode was just all over the place. Apart from the Zuko storyline which kept me somewhat invested in this episode there is absolutely nothing worth watching this episode. Better said just another skip episode, although because of Zuko's storyline you must watch this episode and at the same time get along with the excruciating strange dreams of Aang which make no sense at all and with other stupid plot lines that lead nowhere.

Apart from Zuko, this episode is absolute trash. And it's sad to see that here at the halfway point of the last season. And I had high hopes for this season, because the previous two haven't been nearly as good as they were hyped to be.

Poor episode
g_routledge23 October 2021
Honestly, the level of fanboy (and girl) blindness makes a mockery of the rating system. A 10 rating should be for episodes you would happily watch again and again and should be sprinkled sparingly throughout a season. For every episode to be given a 10, especially as one as weak as this, makes the whole thing pointless. At most this is an 'ok' episode. Save the 10s for the episodes that deserve it.
