Sexually graphic but appropriate. film maker Hernandez is true to his art.
aretel7 March 2014
Julian Hernandez, a Mexican film maker, allows us to peek inside an intimate moment between two strangers at a construction high-rise somewhere in Mexico. The interaction between two exotically handsome men in their twenties is filmed to capture the essence of sexuality as they apprehensively explore their sexual prowess for one another. Unlike mainstream films where sexual displays of intimacy are often sanitized, censored or left to the imagination, Hernandez is bold and allows the audience to visually experience the two men's guarded lust for each other without being apologetic. Hernandez maintains the sensual and erotic exchange between the two actors by arcing around his subjects and capturing sensitively the intense moments of their sexual exploration.

Aside from the attempt at including violence in this film which fell short of realism, the film's message of sexual intrigue, remorse and self hatred was captured effectively. This type of film is difficult to make without making it look like bad pornography, but Hernandez achieved this by keeping it simple, real and believable. A film that is graphically honest and shouldn't be missed.

honest

A honest short film, more an essay , about taboo subject. It can be interpretated. By viewer in his way, from porno movie to poem in image. The fundamental themes , from love, sex and death are used in this case, not bad and , in few moments courageous because the graphic sex is always seed of controversies.

Vile

A nasty pornographic film that ends in murder. Yes, the action might be horny even though we don't see any slof tlif, as Leonard Cohen put it. However, the action is hot but ruined by the horrendous ending.

I don't know what else to say about this without getting into spoiler territory. I would advise people not to bother.

Gay porn movie from Mexico
Horst_In_Translation9 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
"Bramadero" is a 22-minute live action film from 2007 and the director is fairly successful Mexican filmmaker Julián Hernández. There is no story here, no plot, just sex. This is the definition of the essence of porn. The two protagonists are naked throughout the entire movie, we see intercourse, we see erect genitalia. I have no idea how one can see artistry, wit, creativity or even relevance in this film. It is porn. Simple as that. And there is a good reason why these two actors have never appeared in a film before or after this one here from almost 10 years ago. Oh well, maybe they have starred in other porn movies that aren't listed here on IMDb. Only because the director usually made non-porn movies does not make this a non-porn movie. And the sad thing for the genre of gay-themed films is that it has to be in a very bad state right now if garbage like this gets picked up on the ultimate gay-themed short film collection "Boys on Film". So yeah, is there anything else to say? Yep, the ending was supposed to make a pointlessly uninteresting film shocking. Shocking for the sake of it, which means the worst kind of shocking. Why would anybody care about these two characters? Homosexuality is forbidden in Mexico, so they have to meet where nobody sees them? No it is not. This is not the Islamic world. What is forbidden, however, is that one kills the other after intercourse. Oh yeah, this is true love right? Oh no, he had to kill him, so nobody finds out about his dirty little secret. I think i am about to throw up. Nothing about this film makes sense. There is no dialogue in here and the only (Spanish) language you hear comes from a song that plays during the end credits, which means people from all over the world can watch this one without subtitles. But they should only do so if they are interested in pointless, pretentious porn movies. My suggestion: Stay far far away and I am honestly glad this is not a full feature film. A sure contender for worst "film" of 2007. But you could have guessed it already from the film's picture here on IMDb.

Silent Tell You Much
Silitonga12 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I always excited to watch a silent short feature. Short film always tell you a hidden story behind differently with long feature. Sometime it leave ambiguous ending and even ambiguous plot.

"Bramadero" it's not a difficult film to be solved. Two young man met in a rooftop. One man admit he is gay and the other doesn't. They stayed in awkward silent and they gay man retrieve. But, the the stay in closet man give up an let sucked by the gay man.

Later, they had sex, an explicit sex, fellatio and anal penetration. They both enjoyed it, but eventually the man in the closet wake up and felt guilt and ashamed to himself and killed the gay man.

Sometimes, love really hurt when you don't let it free.

Good for a Tommy Tank!

Hot guys and full frontal nudity always wins with me and you could almost expect them to break in to interpretive dance at any moment, it has that sort of vibe to it.

It would have been nice to see it as a fuller film with more of a storyline though, especially as the ending makes no sense at all without some sort of context.

It's basically porn without the cum shots.
