When this started, although liking Ferguson, I found it initially slow going but as each episode proceeds, I was finding myself more and more invested in working out who the hustler was. In fact, it was confirming or, frustrating and infuriating all in a good way, as each question offered snippets into who the hustler was but also led to doubts, at times, if my choice was still correct - would a person looking or aged like that do or think that? Ahh!
Each episode definitely follows the growing pattern of hold and investment with you, as you get to know and hear more about the contestants and see how much money and how many questions and answers they'll either push or let go.
The format including the clause, that two of the last three need to be in consensus of who the hustler is at the end is really clever too. The final back n' forth between the contestants is great fun and tension building to have you shouting at the screen - it's them,!!
Ferguson is ideal for this, as he uses his quick witted smarts to keep it fun and doesn't sit on the fence like many gameshow hosts but offers up his theories of who he thinks could be misleading the others.

Craig is great and the show is entertaining

Let me start by admitting that I am a huge Craig Ferguson fan. I used to say that Letterman was the king of late-night, but that was until Craig came along. Although Craig's not the sole reason I like this show, I can't think of anyone else who could pull this show off in such an entertaining way. Its a great premise for a show... brings back memories of To Tell the Truth. I love the set, the way Craig roams the stage and plants ideas, and the fact that the Hustler knows the answers and picks who leaves the early rounds. Well done in my opinion and I hope it gets renewed!
This show is GREAT

Love this show. Watched all 3 episodes so far and can't get enough. I wish it was on 5 nights a week. Craig Ferguson is perfect as host! It's light, funny, and 60 minutes of intrigue. They've also done a great job of having enough of a diverse cast, it's far from obvious who "The Hustler" is.
Addicting!!!

I love this show!! I miss these types of game shows and so glad to have this one. It's not only fun to watch but it's fun to try and figure out who the hustler is and play along. Unlike other game shows where you have to listen to 10 minutes of everyone's sob stories and personal struggles (like The Wall), this one goes back to the basics of just fun. I highly recommend!
My favorite new game show

Craig Ferguson is awesome. I've been waiting for him to come back to tv and host something. This show is unique. I've personally never seen another game show like this one. It's set up kind of like a murder mystery. It's obvious that's the vibe they're going for, even completing the look of the show with secret doors behind the bookcase (how the contestants who get voted off leave the stage). Five contestants work together to answer trivia questions and bank $10,000 for correct answers. One of the five players actually already knows all of the answers. They are the "hustler" trying not to reveal this secret. Throughout gameplay, facts are given about the hustler's personal life, meant to serve as clues for which of the contestants is the hustler. It's a lot of fun trying to guess who the hustler is. The people playing are actually quite good at faking it because I've not successfully guessed yet who the hustler was. It's always exciting in the end to find out who it was. There are two contestants left at the end of the game, along with the hustler and if the two can successfully agree on who the hustler is, they split the money between them. If the hustler ends up fooling one or both of them and they don't agree, the hustler has successfully "hustled" the other players and leaves with all of the money. The game gets pretty intense in the final round because of the accusations and everyone trying to convince the other two that they are not the hustler. It's a lot of fun to watch. Don't knock it til you watch it!
Masterclass from Ferguson and the show creators

ENTERTAINING!

Craig Ferguson is one of the great entertainers of our time, and he doesn't disappoint in The Hustler. This mystery show features several people with one hustler. As the show progressed, I was constantly left guessing which one was the hustler. It's an excellent idea with an amazing host as well. 10/10
Worth Watching

Designed for fans of murder mysteries who love the final scene when the detective gathers all the suspects and fingers the murderer, "The Hustler" assembles five contestants in a paneled study and gives hints to the identity of the "hustler"---the unknown person playing against the rest, and the only person who knows all the answers to the trivia questions they answer to accumulate a bank of money.
Craig Ferguson hosts, and his witticisms keep things light as the starting five strive to make it to the final three, who must then name the player they think is the hustler.
This is a relatively slow game. It plays out over an hour that features banter, accusations, clues and trivia. I found one of the first two episodes to be very entertaining because the players were very good, i.e. Very tricky. But this game is not for everyone. If you enjoyed "The Mole" or the lesser known "Killer Camp", you might enjoy this more mannerly competition.

I feel like everything my husband and I watch, always ends up getting cancelled. This was a really nice, family friendly show. Maybe at times it could be a bit tedious but it was so worth it. We always watched it with our parents and we all loved it. We always had different guesses and were always wrong in the end. We always would laugh and chat about it after the show is over. Super upsetting knowing that it's cancelled. It was different and I wish there were more shows like it.
But really close to a 7

I have one big suggestion to this show - make it 6 players rather than 5. In the hour there's a little too much discussion about how things are going with the mole, so to speak. Ferguson does well and they get good players in each episode I've seen. But I would like to see 1 more contestant.
Need some Hustle to win

This show is a lot of fun to watch and try guess who is the Hustler. They pepper the show with a lot of clues and some can be misleading and divert attention from the real hustler. I let the set up and rules which keep you guessing. Craig Ferguson does a great job.
Too much excitement, I couldn't stand it

In a word: Missable.
If this show completes a season, that will be a marvel. It's not so much that I have a heap of bad things to say about it. It's just I haven't got a single good thing to say about it. I have enjoyed Craig in the past and I'm sure I will again, but the this isn't the set up for him.
I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
Great show

Love this show but they need to quit having people on who are famous for something, like the woman NFL coach. That was all over the news. And the guy who was accepted to every college awhile back. I hope this show is on for years, I rarely guess who it is. I did know April. That was too obvious.
Not a Good Game Show
