Charming comedy

This is not a film that is pretentious. Instead, it is a rather charming comedy and a nice film to watch if you are looking for some easy laughs. As the other review said, some of the characters are clichéd - so what? If you are an American watching this you will be transported into a world you likely never knew existed. It always interests me to see how people are the same wherever they are in the world, and also how they are different. We have in this film a clash between the impersonal modern world, and a slower way of life where everyone is connected. I think anyone who is disappointed by this film simply expected it to be something that it is not.

good film

Captures the atmosphere of idyll Polish Podlasie countryside still about ten years ago, so I think, I highly recommend this film love is intertwined with the impetuosity of youth and representation of small-town experiences, passions and dreams with the struggle of everyday life and the collision with reality, as well as the idyllic vision of a small town their inhabitants, and the trials and tribulations fight wins, the losers and just life In my opinion a lot of humor, very good styling language of the region, a little grotesque makes the movie at the same time a comedy, a drama and a small epic life of that time, some through the prism of Podlasie and Polish culture while only designed to hare viewer and act like the movie should preferably do so. Or this is a movie or I'm just a fan of this kind of cinema.

Seventh degree stupid

I am a big fan of Polish cinema, so I decided to watch this flick on DVD (luckily enough, it was subtitled). I couldn't be more disappointed. Clichéd characters, a cheesy love story, all those not-so-funny jokes... And, what is worse, the actors turned it into a complete farce. The only thing that seemed OK was the camera work. As for the writing, it was shockingly bad. They made much better films in the past. If you want to watch a good Polish comedy, find a copy of Sexmission, a great science-fiction comedy directed by Machulski (I liked it much better than his famous Vabank). Don't waste your time on this dross!
