The ninth film in the Hellraiser film series is set to move to DVD shelves October 18th and now the first trailer for this feature is available. Actor Doug Bradley has played Pinhead, the central antagonist, in the previous eight films, but he declined to participate in this latest film, titled Hellraiser: Revelations, after reading the script (Bradley). The short shoot time of two weeks also signals a possible rush to complete the film by Puzzlebox Films, which has no other titles attached to its name. Horror fans and Hellraiser fans can take a look at the clip here, which involves a late night at a bar, a bum, a box, and a bumbling line or two.
As well, Dimension Extreme will distribute this title. Other films released from this American film distributor include several sequels such as Feast II: Sloppy Seconds, Feast III: The Happy Finish, Pulse 2: Afterlife,...

After the eye-popping, blood-soaked "Piranha 3D" was both a critical and box office hit this summer, Dimension wants to get back in the water. Sure to pack in even more gruesome kills and, according to its title, more nudity, "Pirahna 3 Dd" is on its way.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Dimension wants to have "Piranha 3 Dd" in theaters by late August 2011. John Gulager, of "Project Greenlight" fame and director of guilty pleasure creature-feature "Feast," is set to direct, while "Saw 3D" scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan will write.
Melton and Dunstan got their start on "Feast" before writing four "Saw" sequels. Gulager directed two sequels to "Feast," "Feast II: Sloppy Seconds" and "Feast III: The Happy Finish."
The first "Piranha 3D" lifted its name and fish from the 1978 cult classic (and it's James Cameron-directed sequel), but with a brand new story. In the film, Elisabeth Shue played Sheriff Julie Forester,...

This writer hit Scream 2010 (held at the Greek Theatre in La) and its after party (at the Music Box in Hollywood) this past Saturday night, and while we’ll be bleeding out a number of the interviews we conducted over the week (the airing of the event takes place tonight, October 19 on Spike TV), we are first bringing you our chat with Saw 3D co-scribe Marcus Dunstan, who took some time on the carpet to chat up that film as well as his coming flick The Collection and more.
No lie: I dig Dunstan, he of the infectious laugh, twisted personality and black fuzzy jacket. It seems only yesterday when I was seated in a lawn chair next to him in the high-desert enclave of Agua Dolce at 3am, watching together as FX-man Gary Tunnicliffe thrust a prosthetic beast-baby’s junk into actress Diane Goldner’s mouth while director John Gulager shouted,...

Another week in October, another bounty crop of horror DVDs and Blu-rays. This week we have home entertainment from recent theatrical releases of nightmares of the mind as well as re-releases of classic and campy horror, all with boatloads of extras.
Then there are other horror titles that are being re-released on Blu-ray or in packs for double dipping. On top of that, horror offerings from Asia, past seasons of TV shows, manga, novels, and even video games are all vying for our pocketbooks. And we still have four more weeks of October to go.
Next year October needs to begin in August.
Human Centipede: First Sequence
Directed by Tom Six
Human Centipede: First Sequence (review) was a sensation ever since its first mention. Stephen Colbert even talked about it at the 2010 Emmys Awards broadcast! The premise cannot be simpler. Two pretty American girls are on a road trip through Europe.

Chicago – The Round-Up, HollywoodChicago.com’s famous recurring column about lesser Blu-Ray and DVD titles that may have slipped through your fingers at the store recently, is in clean-up mode this week. With a DVD collection for a famous young actress, an old cartoon, a straight-to-video horror movie, and three movies with the word “Mountain” in the title, the only word that comes to mind to tie these titles together is “random”.
You know those bins of “impulse buy” items you’ll see in stores near the cash register? Stuff that you may not have put on your shopping list and that you may not even know you want until you see them? That’s what this week’s Round-Up column is like. Peek in the bin and take a look at “Jonny Quest,” “The Scarlett Johansson Collection,” “Dead in 3 Days,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “Escape to Witch Mountain,” and “Return to...

Fangoria's Weekend Of Horrors just tore through the Chicago area this weekend, and while we'll be sharing news, photos, and video from the event all week, we've got an audio treat for you today courtesy of Fangoria Radio.
We've just uploaded a new batch of clips to the Fangoria Entertainment iTunes feed with all kinds of Weekend Of Horrors goodness.
Fango editor-in-chief Tony Timpone took a break from the Chicago event to call into the show on Friday night for a quick chat with Dee Snider, Debbie Rochon, Michael Gingold, and Mike Kostel in New York. Tony shared details on the first day of the 'con in the moments before Fashion Bomb and Mushroomhead took to the stage for our Shock*N*Roll Spooktacular. Caroline Williams may be best known as "Stretch" from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but to those in attendance at this weekend's event she was known as an...

Red is our favorite color here at Fangoria Radio, and tonight’s show (airing on Sirius Xm Stars satellite radio, Sirius channel 102/Xm channel 155, from 10 p.m.-1 a.m., with a repeat immediately after) is dedicated to those who have brought plenty of scarlet to the screen. Hosts Debbie Rochon and Fango editor Tony Timpone (sitting in for Dee Snider) have a bloody good lineup of guests on tap:
• John Gulager has wrapped up his creature-feature trilogy with the new-to-dvd Feast III: The Happy Finish (pictured); he’ll spill his guts about the splattery trio and where he’s going from here
• Four decades after ushering in a wet new strain of fright filmmaking with Blood Feast, Herschell Gordon Lewis is still keeping a (severed) hand in the business, and will let us know what he’s been up to
• Mike Elizalde, the man responsible for the prosthetics on Big Red (a.

Wow, this week we have a veritable cornucopia of genre film dropping. First off is the [Rec] remake Quarantine which I personally enjoyed more than the original. I mean, that camera bashing the head in scene? Awesome! Then we have the (hopefully not) last in the Feast trifecta, Feast 3: The Happy Finish which is hands down a great series, see it. Next we have the long awaited Midnight Meat Train (review here) adapted from Clive Barker's story of the same name, and while this may have had a sordid history in getting a release, it's still worth watching. Then we have the surprisingly good (but badly titled) Alien Raiders which we all enjoyed (review here). Then we have Screamers 2: The Hunting which I know agentorange is looking forward too. Last but not least is the f***ed up genre favorite Ex Drummer out of Belgium which you should really check out.

Choke
Even with the cult-led power of Fight Club, it took a long time for another Chuck Palahniuk adaptation to make it to the big screen. Finally, we were served Clark Gregg's Choke, a film that certainly relished its source material, but didn't inspire the rabid love of its predecessor. Still, it's a fun look into the life of a sex addict who fake-chokes in restaurants for money. Rent it.

Body of Lies
Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe get to face off in this political thriller filled with CIA intrigue and infiltration. Leo's the out-in-the-field op uncovering word of a new terrorist leader, while Crowe guides via satellite -- but is that guidance helping or hurting the situation? Rent it on DVD or Blu-ray.

Of the new characters you'll meet in Feast III: The Happy Finish , one is the "hybrid" a new breed of monster that stalks the sewers looking for the film's disparate survivors. This bad-ass beastie with the over-sized arm is spotted, albeit briefly, in an exclusive clip from the film you'll find below. Bartender, Lightning, Biker Queen, Greg, Secrets...the gang is back but will they survive another round of monster mayhem courtesy of director John Gulager and sicko writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton? Find out when the threequel hits DVD on February 17th.

Feast was one of the greatest new horror movies made in awhile. It was shocking, it had twists, it was gorey and it was just an all around awesome time. Feast 2 caught me out of left field and was one of the biggest dissapointments for me ever. I wanted more of Feast and instead we got a b-movie cheesfest. Feast 3 continues this trend of cheese and it can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Picking up moments after the end of Feast II: Sloppy Seconds, the survivors are saved by the mysterious prophet, Short Bus Gus, who seemingly has the ability to control the beasts. He l...

Six photos have floated our way, on a river of blood and other nasty bodily fluids, from Feast 3: The Happy Finish , coming to DVD next year. Picking up moments after the end of Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds , the survivors are saved by the mysterious prophet, Shot Bus Gus, who seemingly has the ability to control the beasts. He leads them into the sewers as they travel to the big city. Along the way they get help from karate expert Jean-Claude Seagal and learn that the beasts originate from a place called "The Hive." Armed with this knowledge, they decide to fight back and destroy the beasts once and for all. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton returned to write this chapter.

We confirmed this evening that Dimension Extreme has already filmed Feast 3: The Happy Finish, which is slated for DVD release in spring of 2009 (although tentative). In addition, we've got the full cast listing for you! Jenny Wade, Craig Henningsen, Martin Klebba, Mysti Rod-Nash, Megan Brown, Hanna Putnam, Kip Cummings, Mike J. Regan, Melissa Reed, Vance Hartwell, Oliver Simor and Juan Longoria García all star in the third film, which was also directed by John Gulager, who reteamed with writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. The trio got their big start on Project Greenlight. The story is said to be much darker and take the film underground.

One of the beast theatre experiences some of us DC'ers had was when Feast (review) got a very limited release. Seeing so much insane gore and monster dongs on a huge screen just can't be topped.
Or can it?
Andrew Kasch checked in from Comic-Con with some news about Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds and Feast 3: The Happy Finish. The first sequel is reported to be more light hearted than the original, with the setting taking place in the day time. However, don't think that will impact the gore. We're told the blood will be flying like before even with Feast 2 being more slapstick.
Feast 3 will be the opposite of it's predecessor with a darker, seedier setting. According to the franchises director, John Gulager, the third will "take us down the rabbit hole", literally. The film will take place below the surface.
