post credit scene cost the anime at least 1 star

Warning: Spoilers
First I was skeptical, but as i watched the whole thing it began to become interesting. 7-7.5/10 When I watched the last episode I thought the ending was better than expected. (I assumed the mc would simply kill the villainess or himself). This part was left open, screen went black & you just heard a shot. Would've been a nice ending, mc did something bad (shot the president) to prevent more bad things to happen & we don't know if he or the villainess survive. Everything left open, as well as some other unanswered questions (e.g. Relationship between Itsuki and the villainess), but the post credit scene destroyed the ending.

After the outro it is revealed that the villainess survived & we know that the mc probably died (or shot himself elsewhere to not being able to kill himself). The problem with this is that this almost very good anime could get a second season, jump the shark & ruin the whole plot.

Without the post credit scene it would've been an interesting open 12 episode anime.

It was good

Fantastic. It's like watching some TV series. It's predictable, but there were some unexpected moments. You think it's something small and ordinary, but it turns out to be big and much bigger and in the end it covers everything. I felt like I was watching Death Note again. The topic is interesting and unknown. It's unlikely to happen in the real world, but it's interesting. I do not want to give spoilers, so I will leave it aside. To tell you the truth, I spat on my anime and I didn't know what it was about. I did not read the info. I just heard it's great. I was expecting some magic because of the name and the poster, but I got Law and Order on steroids. There were hints of the crime scene as well. Let's talk about heroes and villains. I won't talk much about the characters. I will just say that most of them stand and support something that does not exist and end up in worse ways without seeing their full potential, and the villains are cherries. There are two. The first is the young Donald Trump, but with black hair, and the second is the grown-up Yono by Mirai Nikki, who I think sympathized with the main characters all the time. For a clearer description, I would describe her as Purple-Man from Marvel comics and Jessica Jones. He'll serve you one of the most heinous murders on a tray. She and the main character were like Batman and the Joker. There was a lot of speculation about the anime, but I know what the hemisphere is. The simping kills. The main character was not a sympathizer. He was a great Ace Attorney. Then things became Hawaii Five-0 for him. Finally, to express my opinion about the uping and ending. Definitely the upinning is in my Top 10 because the music that brings you into the world of Babylon and the style of painting. I didn't expect to have 3 endings. And they were all good. The music, style and sound effects were really good from start to finish. That's all I can say. Just to mention that the second character is the cutest I've ever seen, and the ending of the anime wasn't so bad. Don't forget! The simping kills!

UNJUSTICE PREVAILED

At starting of the anime this turned out to be good at first but at last it become worst

zen seizaki is a public prosecutor who has done lot of investiagtion regarding suicide laws made by itsuki upcoming mayor of japan.but it failed due to most worst yet meciless woman named ai magase because of her seizaki lost most of his allies and comrade.then he was encountered by sam us FBI who was appointed by the president of usa alexander who is very intelligent and good at rpg games.i thought zen seizaki and prez alexander would solve the suicide law problem and arrested ai magase for world peace but this turned out to be MOST BAD ENDING.

Why we are told that "crime never pay".why case is not solved in this anime.

This anime made me really really unhappy which lost the hardwork and value of two family man of different countries.

Episodes 1-3 Rock!
Dennis_D_McDonald17 October 2019
BABYLON starts out as a typical police procedural and then shifts into what seems to be one more decently produced "crimes in high places" mystery.

By the end of Episode 3 we realize this show is going to be something else entirely.

We follow an idealistic prosecutor as he investigates a suicide that appears to be linked somehow to a pharmaceutical company being investigated for manipulation of drug testing results, to an upcoming mayoral election, and to the establishment of an autonomous new city on the outskirts of Tokyo. As he learns how these three things are connected his sense of honesty and justice are tested.

Production wise the animation and artwork are good. As in many Japanese series the city as displayed is deceptively clean and well organized with streets and sidewalks tending to be somewhat underpopulated. This is due, I assume, to the cost of detailed animation of the many vehicles and pedestrians we would normally see in views of cities like Tokyo. But facial expressions and hand movements are remarkably subtle and this is helped along by sparse but effective English subtitles.

I'm looking forward to more episodes in this series. I have no familiarity with the novels it is based on but suspect we are in for some potentially disturbing and adult story threads. If so, this series has the potential for reaching the sophistication and maturity of series like INUYASHIKI LAST HERO and AJIN: DEMI-HUMAN that I have enjoyed in the past.

One of the best Crime psychological anime
aniketgajbhiye-9553127 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Finished watching Babylon and wow...I honestly can't say if it was good or bad because while it definitely had me at the edge of my seat throughout the entire series (I was entirely focused on watching the show. No fiddling with the phone!), it has been a long while since I have watched such an unsettling anime. The first half of the series was absolutely thrilling (and horrifying in a psychological manner), and you can totally see a live-action adaptation of this arc. It is honestly pretty good. The second half of the series is really where the split in opinions comes in. If you google this series, I'm pretty sure you can find a lot of intense discussions and comments, especially about the ending. (So to avoid spoilers, I suggest you only look for them AFTER you have watched the anime).
