A Great movie
bnormal20006 October 2007
I recently saw this movie at a special screening in Houston, and have to admit that i just loved it.Being an independent filmmaker myself i loved the freshness of idea in this movie, this indie is not only fresh in its idea but also tells a story about money and friendship and people, with great depth, there is a lot of underlying meaning to every scene ,what we see on the screen has a deeper meaning to it, which is most of the time unspoken.I loved it ....loved it, this could be one of the best Indies i have seen this year.Directing is great ,acting is awesome..............overall the best indie out of Houston maybe in a decade...........kudos to the whole team...looking forward to seeing it again.

Gritty and Challenging

I was one of the lucky few to see this movie in a screening. I have been following the film from the first time it was screened as a short and now as a feature.

What attracted me to this film is the fact that even through such hand-held shots and gritty docudrama look, the director has been able to create a web of multidimensional characters and tell a story thats not only original but is also thought-provoking.

The treatment of "Money" is very European. And Paris definitely adds on to that.

Every scene reveals a subtle metaphor of trust, judgment, empathy, faith and power through changing color and texture.

The performance was of the highest level. The actors have very successfully been able to portray the ambiguity of their character. They have brought so much realism to each scene that it makes you feel that you are watching reality show and not a movie.

The only complain I have of the film is the setup of the landlord scene which I don't feel has any place in this film. It seems to hang outside the film like a pouch and can easily be done without.

"Money" is certainly not for those who are not exposed to underground movies or to world cinema. This is for a very niche audience who enjoy the drama and character study through subtle human emotions that are dug deep into our system and not exposed blatantly.

This film is one of the most unpredictable films I have ever seen. Just when I thought a character would go one direction, I was swept away by the complete detour the character made - emphasizing yet again on the uncertainty of the human life.

"Money" is definitely a very thought provoking cinema and a great independent work of art - something that stays with you even when its long gone.

The little film that could ...

... be the best Indie I've seen in a while.

I attended the preview and was continually impressed from the opening to the closing credits with the depth of the characters, the artistry in filming and the wonderful editing that tied it all together. Without giving the story away, the script captures a question that we all think about and explores the various reactions to it. It weaves the good and the bad into one concise story that keeps the audience guessing and entertained until the very end.

I had high expectations going in and wasn't let down. This film is definitely worth the Money.
