Tailor-Made To Be Shown On Halloween Night
ccthemovieman-14 November 2008
This was the perfect episode to air on Halloween night, complete with "zombies" and a return of "The Amityville Horrror." Included with the DVD was a 10-minute extra features bonus in which the cast comments about how much fun they had doing this because they new it would air on Oct. 31.

As is often the case, the coolest part is the opening segment. For me, it was shock to see one of my favorite actors in that opener: Bruce Dern. Even though he has just that tiny role in the beginning, it's always great to see his grizzly old face and hear his distinctive voice. Speaking of veteran actors, how about Julie Adams?! This 82-year-old has a role in here. She just keeps going and going. Check out her resume: it's amazing!

In the first story, CSI's "Danny" and "Lyndsay" go over to Amityville and try to find out what was the deal with an apparent suicide-murder involving a family of four. Obviously, it was a murder all the way and, along the way of discovering what happened, there are some spooky moments.

The second story isn't as good, although it's bizarre enough to pay attention. It's about a man faking his death and then.....well, I don't spoil it, but the end explains the "Night Of The Living Dead" type aspect to the story, which has so many holes in it, it's not worth bothering to think about. Funny how Hollywood takes voodoo so seriously, but not surprising.
