Total waste of time
SamthFan29 July 2009
This is the story of two siblings on their last day of college that suddenly realize that they like the life of debauchery and don't want to give it up for a 9-5 life in banking. It takes place over a 24 hour period, beginning with a 6am backyard barbecue and beer-fest. Go figure.

This film is a cheap knock-off of every fraternity movie without any of the originality or charm. The character development is pathetic--most of them are caricatures--and the plot is ridiculous. The production quality suggests that it was made by a bunch of college students with a hand-held. If you want some mild titillation, then go for it, but otherwise don't waste your time.

College Animals
kosmasp10 August 2010
They are trying to sell this one as a "College Animals 3" movie in Germany, College Animals 1 and 2 being (National Lampoons) "Dorm Daze" 1+2. If I haven't lost you yet, you might be on the wrong page. Maybe you were looking for another movie?! ;o)

Seriously though: This is just another one of those movies, where you are supposed to cheer and have fun with one very bad idea (staying in College forever). And while I was watching the extras on the DVD, I wasn't sure what to think of the guy who this is actually based on. Most of you will feel sorry for him. But then again, it's not like cares what we think of him. It's just a weird extra (interview) to have on the DVD though.

The mentioned Dorm Daze are far better than this, so if you really wanna watch something, go on and watch those.

Inspiring

This movie is unbelievable. After watching it, I fervently believe that I could make a better movie with my VHS camera. I sincerely feel that if this ridiculous movie can be made, distributed, and somehow end up being seen by me, then ANYTHING is possible. It makes me want to go out into the world with a camera and make something better. Make a better world. A world with better movies. I will admit that there is something so fascinating about this film that I have seen it 2 and a half times

Let's watch something else!
DjPatof14 October 2014
I am usually very generous when it comes to giving star on IMDb especially when it's a independent movie or a really low budget film... I even give 4 stars for a movie like The Hottie & the Nottie! But this time I just can't. This movie lack in creativity, the camera angle are boring, the acting pathetic, the plot non-existent and the script... was there a script? Worst of all this so called comedy is not funny at all. I'm not the guy who will complain about seeing boobs, booze or peoples doing drugs on screen, on the contrary, it's normally a really good premise for a good laugh, especially in movie of this genre, but with this one it just turn flat... If somebody ask me about Fraternity House, I'll simply say: Let's watch something else!

Food for Thought

I found a DVD of "Fraternity House" at my town's dump in the movie and book section. This movie is terrible but unintentionally hilarious. Its portrayal of women is as disturbing as would be expected of its genre. The man who wrote and starred in the movie as "Jake" details some of his decision making for the film in the special features section of the DVD. The seriousness by which he approached the intention of the film is made evident in his voice over of the entire movie. This was surprising to me because I had originally thought that it was a parody.

I wouldn't recommend "Fraternity House" unless you like watching terrible movies as much as I do. This is my second time attempting to post a review for this movie and I hope it goes through this time!

Offers nothing new
Floated224 August 2022
This film is quite terrible as expected. It doesn't offer anything new or really has many redeeming qualities to separate itself from previous films of the same genre. The acting is subpar, the comedy isn't funny or clever in the slightest. The plot is simple and predictable, and most of the characters are unlikeable. We understand it's a low budget film but it takes bits and pieces of other far better teen comedy types. Even lesser in quality compared to the Asylum Production films of this genre.

Original College Comedy, a Quick Fun watch
TheJonAlderman30 July 2009
The people who made this movie weren't looking for Oscars, but they made a good quick watch movie.

There has not been a college comedy in awhile and this is quick fresh start for one. Also I am really impressed with the the quality of everything in the movie for the budget they had.

There is some original ideas in it, and I think the Pledging scene is the best I have seen for what it is. There is some intense scenes during 'Hell Night' and a bunch of boozing and getting drunk. Takes place in a full day of the last day of the school year. Worth a quick watch from video store or netflix.
