I don't like to give spoilers, so I won't. However, I must say the ending was not at all what I expected. Intriguing. There is still much left to this mystery.

I also have to agree with the other reviewer. I don't care for the Jenny character. I hope that she winds up being replaced. We will just have to wait and see how all of this plays out. It was an interesting start to the season.

While I am so intrigued by this storyline, I am also confused. Tony's loyalty to Gibbs goes way past professional; not so with the director. There must be a chain of command issue here too somewhere if not a human conflict in Tony.

I understand the need at some point to flesh out a character. The director has more a jeckyl/Hyde change. Does not bode well for her. Also apologies for this, but could some of that goop been scraped off her lips? Pouty is not a good look for a professional crime fighter. Hopefully the pretentious "Jeanne" will fade into the side. She is the whiniest MD tv has to offer.

I like the bit where Tony's car blew up. I hope he wasn't in it

So what did Tony really accomplish while undercover?
CrimeDrama122 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I think it is safe to say that the writer's missed when they decided to go with Director Shepherd's plan to send Tony undercover to get close to the daughter of an international arms dealer. It backfired. Tony fell in love with her...and that's it. It is revealed that she never knew what her father was doing so what could Tony have possibly learned? Tony did not even meet him until what would be the end of the operation and even though the arms dealer found out Tony's true identity he must have known his daughter had no knowledge that would put him at risk. Plus, he knew his daughter loved Tony. A guy like Gibbs surely would have raised the same concerns once it was revealed but it would have strained his relationships with Tony and Jen too much. I just shake my head at the writer's non-sense.
