Robert Rodriguez indie film school student

Arévalo was able to gain on set knowledge from Rodriguez who showed him how he was setting up his scenes during production. When Arévalo was filming his own scenes during Desperado as the character "The Opponent" he was shadowing Rodriguez who was more than helpful in parting his film knowledge to Arévalo.

Arévalo then used this to make his own $50k indie action film on location in Mexico on 35mm. The script for Mexican Bloodbath was written by Arévalo and had gone through several rewrites. The original budget was going to be a lot more but when the investor came up short Arévalo said,"Let's do it".

Good low budget action film where the body count seems to be never ending

Bloodbath? Yes, yes it is. There is truth in the title it is a bloodbath

This is a fast moving and very violent revenge tale of a man returning to Mexico to get revenge on the drug lord who killed his family. Things get even more complicated when our hero ends up having an affair with the drug lord's wife. If you want action this movie is for you. Its rare that more than five minutes pass with out someone dying (sometimes its less than that). Frankly the film is never really boring because something is always happening. Is it a great film? No but it is an entertaining one because it never stops moving. Definitely worth a look for those wanting a non stop action film and don't mind a low budget.
