- As a convicted murderer is about to be executed, he vows to return. When the star witness at his trial starts to get threats, Beth takes her to Mick. Soon Mick realizes that he may have actually returned. While Beth stays with the witness, she recalls when she kidnapped as a child.—Jesse Sanchez
- When cult leader and spree killer Donovan Shepard is executed for his crimes, Beth and Audrey (the daughter of Shepard's victims and witness to his crime) were among the witnesses to the execution. During his last words he had no remorse and sent a message that those who had assisted in his prosecution and punishment should "pay". Legions of his followers were on hand outside the prison, taking pictures of the witnesses, creeping out Beth and Audrey as they departed.
Later, at Beth's apartment, Audrey received a cryptic phone call seemingly from Shepard using words that he had said to her during the crime and which were not made public during the trial. The caller also informed her that she was being watched and when she went to the window, she was positive she was looking at Shepard down on the street.
Beth is sure that it is just one of Shepard's cult groupies and enlists Mick to track down the culprit. Mick is later on hand barely in time to thwart an attack on Audrey by one of the followers in Beth's apartment.
When there is further harassment, Mick has to determine if it is possible that Shepard has indeed returned from the dead or if it is coming from additional groupies.
