- A person is struck by a car as he crosses the street. A passing motorist tries to help him, but the victim was a vampire who promptly feeds on the good Samaritan. Instead of killing him, he spawns another vampire. The new vampire goes on a spree that threatens to reveal them all. Mick must stop the new vampire.—Jesse Sanchez
- Vampire Gerald Stovsky was walking home one night when he was struck by a car on 1st and Main. A good Samaritan who just happened to be a doctor stopped to help. Gerald couldn't control himself and drained the doctor dry, not knowing that some of his blood had mixed with the doctor's blood. Thinking the doctor to be dead, Gerald called the Cleaner to pick up the body, but the body was gone when she got there. Now, more bodies are being found totally drained of blood. Mick suspects a newly-turned rogue who has not had proper tutelage and has gone feral. From the Cleaner, Mick learns that it was Gerald Stovsky who called for disposal. From Gerald, Mick learns that the victim was a doctor.
Beth, in between asking questions about vampires and how Mick got himself turned, checks for incident reports from that location and finds that an abandoned car was found near there. It is registered to a Dr Jeffrey Pollock on Hillside Drive. Mick and Beth visit Pollock's house and find that he has killed his own wife. From some papers on the desk, Mick learns that Pollock works at Sacred Angels Hospital. Before Mick can get over there to stop Pollock from feasting on the patients, Gerald Stovsky drops by. He confesses that he's never been able to sire anyone before and wants to take Jeff under his wing, but Mick maintains that Pollock is feral. When Stovsky hears that Mick intends to destroy Jeff, he shoves a stake in Mick's heart and goes in search of his childe. Mick gets Beth to pull out the stake, and the two of them race to the hospital. Just as Pollock is about to feed on a patient, Mick stakes him and tosses his body in the incinerator. Later that evening, Mick stops at Beth's apartment, to tell her that he was turned by his wife, Coraline, on their wedding night in 1952.
