Loved it!!! The British American Psycho

I was lucky enough to attend the UK premiere of this highly enjoyable horror/thriller. The concept is great; two serial killers sharing a house - what do they get up to and how do they interact in 'normal' society? These are all disturbing questions which writer/director Lee Akehurst explores in this darkly comic film. As the story progresses, we the viewers are taken on a macabre roller-coaster ride which explores what motivates these two very different men to kill. The lead actors are very good and create believable (and likable) characters. The supporting cast are also very strong. There's bundles of dark humour and I found myself laughing out loud at many of the jokes. Yes, it's very different to run-of-the-mill slasher thrillers but in my opinion, Dark Rage has a quintessentially British quality to it which makes it hugely enjoyable. Like Michael Powell's film 'Peeping Tom', Dark Rage invites its audience to sympathise with the killers and see life from their demented viewpoint. The story-line is very gripping, the main characters are well developed and there's a wicked twist at the end you won't see coming (I won't spoil it for you!) All in all, a great movie and I can't wait for the DVD to be released -I certainly will be buying a copy!
