Largely a filler episode

The "Jekyll" series has a good premise, a good cast, a great music score, but in this 4th episode it seems to be spinning its wheels. The action is fairly equally divided between the present and the past, but neither portion really gives us anything that we didn't already know, or hadn't already guessed, or is that important anyway. We learn that Dr. Jackman is NOT a clone, but we still don't learn what he IS. There is not even a payoff at the end, with Jackman / Hyde "stabilized" as one or the other, but if you want to know which one....tune in next time! "Doctor Who" fans will appreciate another conversation across two different time periods through a monitor, just as it happened in Steven Moffat's famous "Blink" the same year (2007), but other than that, let's just say that even if you skip this episode you won't have any trouble following the story. **1/2 out of 4.
