Chris Pine had a laugh but wasn’t exactly thrilled when fans focused more on that scene in one flick than the gritty, R-rated action. The $120M epic delivered brutal battles, but what grabbed the internet’s attention? Pine’s brief full-frontal moment. Despite the blood and gore, fans zeroed in on his unexpected cameo.

Pine, ever the good sport, joked about the attention but admitted he wished people had talked more about the movie’s intense storytelling and less about his “junk.” It’s safe to say this flick gave audiences more than they bargained for—and Pine, well, he kept it classy.

Netflix has acquired the spec script and aims to fast track Out There, a new high concept sci-fi thriller described as in the vein of A Quiet Place and Cloverfield, Deadline reports today.
Out There will mark the veteran editor Stefan Grube.
Plot details remain under wraps at this time, but the sci-fi thriller “revolves around a fractured family who must face the most catastrophic day of their lives.” Which does fall in line with the comparisons to A Quiet Place and Cloverfield. Considering Grube’s work on the suspenseful 10 Cloverfield Lane, we can likely expect that same level of breathless tension here.
Grube’s credits also include Tully, The Front Runner, and Star Wars: Episode IX. As for the spec script that was picked up by Netflix, that hails from Shane Van Dyke, Carey Van Dyke and Ian Levy. The Van Dykes previously wrote Don’t Worry Darling, and Levy scripted Pay the Ghost.

Acting has become a profession that everyone likes to try their hands on. This is not exclusive to those who wish to see themselves get famous, as some of the most successful names in the industry have tried their hands in a film or two. Naturally, the One Direction icon, Harry Styles, also joined this trend and has been starring in projects here and there.

He has been in many well-known projects, ranging from Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, Marvel’s Eternals, and most famously, Don’t Worry Darling. However, it would seem that these few projects weren’t enough for the actor. It was reported that the star was supposed to be a part of the remake of Nosferatu.
Thankfully, this was not seen through, and Nicholas Hoult ended up replacing the singer.

The trailer for Nicole Kidman’s Erotic Thriller Babygirl is out for everyone to watch after the film blew the audiences away at the Venice Film Festival. Along with a roaring 7-minute standing ovation, it also won Kidman the esteemed ‘Best Actress’ award. However, after watching the film’s trailer for the first time, many fans couldn’t resist making Fifty Shades of Grey
comparisons and it makes total sense.

Babygirl boasts a stellar cast lineup that includes Oscar-nominated Antonio Banderas, The Iron Claw Star Harris Dickinson, and more. By now, all of us are well-versed with the film’s risqué themes and the overlap with Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan-led Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) is too hard to ignore. "It Ends WIth Us" is coming home. The major motion picture based on Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel of the same (which deals with domestic violence and emotional abuse) was directed by Justin Baldoni, who also starred alongside Blake Lively, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, and Brandon Sklenar. In the film, Lively stars as Lily Blossom Bloom, an aspiring florist who begins a Hallmark-like romance with a handsome neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni), only for things to take a turn for horror territory.
/Film's own Bj Colangelo wasn't a fan of Baldoni's adaptation and described it as "an infuriating, emotionally manipulative watch and a disservice to the talents of every actor involved" in her review. Indeed, it's a movie that's proven controversial across the board. Critics in general were divided on whether "It Ends With Us" is any good, at least one country banned the film, and there are multiple reports...

Amazon MGM Studios has released the brand new trailer for their upcoming action-advernture Christmas comedy Red One, and it's considerable step up from the teaser trailer as Callum Drift (Dwayne Johnson) and Jack O'Malley (Chris Evans) team-up to save Santa Claus (J. K. Simmons).
The new trailer takes a slightly more serious tone than the previous one and notably shifts the focus to Evans' character, who gets quite a bit more spotlight this time as he's recruited by the North Pole to aid their head of security, played by Johnson, in this high stakes rescue mission.
We don't want to read into it too much, but it seems clear the studios wanted to emphasize Evans' role a bit more. His character was the better received after the initial trailer and the former Avengers star does currently have a hot hand, following the blockbuster success of Deadpool & Wolverine, so it may...

Strolling through Palace Costume is a bit like stepping into a Tim Burton movie. Everywhere you turn, there’s a surreal riot of outrageous outfits, from over-the-top Beetlejuice-style attire to Ed Wood-ish 1950s dresses to paste jewelry in a rainbow of Pee-Wee tints.
In fact, a lot of the costumes found in Burton’s movies were sourced from these very racks, along with outfits appearing in hundreds of other films. Forrest Gump, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Austin Powers, The Big Lewbowski, Don’t Worry Darling — they all featured clothing that was pulled from Palace Costume, known among Hollywood stylists as “the Louvre of vintage.”

Like a football player emerging from the huddle, Florence Pugh squatted and grunted as she reenacted a dramatic scene from “We Live in Time” after the film made its splashy debut on Day 2 of the Toronto International Film Festival. During a post-screening Q&a with co-star Andrew Garfield and director John Crowley, Pugh described the making of a wild scene from the tear-jerker cancer drama in which she gives birth in a dingy gas station bathroom while Garfield and two strangers looked on.
“It was amazing. I mean, you saw like seven minutes of it. We did 15-minute births like eight times. After four years of talking about it, the long-awaited "Alien" TV show is finally, really happening. Hailing from Noah Hawley of "Fargo" fame, the series set within the iconic sci-fi/horror franchise was first announced in December 2020 as part of Disney's now-infamous investor day presentation. A ton of projects were announced, many of which never came to pass. Hawley got this one across the finish line, though, and now it's coming to Hulu in 2025. Get ready for "Alien: Earth," ladies and gentleman! So, what is the show about? We finally know.
FX and Hulu released the above, brief teaser, which doesn't give us too much to go on, admittedly. We get a quick shot of a Xenomorph with Earth reflected on its head. That makes it crystal clear what the big hook of this one is: the Xenomorphs are coming to Earth. This will be a first for the franchise,...

Blake Lively has always had a fraught relationship with her Hollywood career arc. After establishing herself on the silver screen with The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 2005, Lively’s career began to chart a sine-wave across the years that followed. Besides a few well-received projects like The Shallows and A Simple Favor, Lively has had hard luck trying to strike big as the lead.

In Paul Thomas Anderson's 2021 coming-of-age joint Licorice Pizza, Cooper Hoffman gave a breakout performance as a fresh-faced kid who gets in over his head with an older woman. And now, as Variety's reporting confirms, Cooper Hoffman is set to play a fresh-faced kid who gets in over his head with an older woman once again — albeit with a little less of a '70s nostalgic glow and a little more of a dangerous twist. The actor, son of Philip Seymour Hoffman, has been cast as Olivia Wilde's sexual muse in erotically charged thriller I Want Your Sex, the latest movie from Mysterious Skin auteur Gregg Araki.
Written by Araki alongside his Now Apocalypse co-writer Karley Sciortino, I Want Your Sex — in case the title doesn't quite spell it out clearly enough — looks set to be a typically raw and unflinching feature from the White Bird In A Blizzard filmmaker.

Chris Pine has joined the cast of Italian drama The Kidnapping of Arabella by Carolina Cavalli, as it begins shooting in northern Italy this week.
The movie stars Benedetta Porcaroli as a young woman convinced she is the wrong version of herself, until she meets a 7-year-old girl who makes her change her mind.
It marks Cavalli’s second feature after the well-received debut Amanda, which also starred Porcaroli, this time in the role of an isolated woman who tries to reconnect with a childhood friend.
That film premiered to acclaim in Venice’s Orizzonti Extra lineup in 2022, and then screened in Toronto.
That same year, Pine was in Venice with Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling. His credits in between times include Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Poolman.

Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut joins a microgenre of films, from Promising Young Woman to Don’t Worry Darling, that try – and mostly fail – to capture a difficult moment
This article contains spoilers
Blink Twice, Zoë Kravitz’s buzzy directorial debut, opens with lush, confident seduction. The starry-eyed Frida (Naomi Ackie), a cash-strapped cater-waiter who yearningly scrolls Instagram in her dingy bathroom, catches the eye of handsome tech entrepreneur Slater King at a ritzy gala; he summarily whisks her and her down-with-it best friend Jess (Alia Shawkat) to his private tropical island along with a private jet’s worth of hangers-on. The ostensible goal of the trip is to party – drink all day, lounge by the pool, soak up the sun, suck the marrow out of life. You cannot trust a billionaire, but why not enjoy the spoils?
Kravitz, who co-wrote the film with Et Feigenbaum, similarly relishes in the sensory...

There are deafening echoes of Get Out, Don’t Worry Darling and The Menu in this propulsive yet ultimately unwieldy attempt to use Epstein’s island as genre inspiration
For her directorial debut, Blink Twice, actor and reluctantly labelled nepo baby Zoë Kravitz has arrived at the table with a plate that’s stacked precariously high. It’s a tart, topical thriller sat in a Venn diagram between the many recent “eat the rich” satires (a subgenre that’s taken us from the heady highs of Triangle of Sadness to the limp lows of Saltburn) and the post-Get Out #MeToo-inflected social thrillers (from the overrated Promising Young Woman to the underrated Fresh). It’s also about contemporary horror’s favourite buzzword, “trauma”, and also inspired by Jeffrey Epstein and his private island. Once the shaking stopped and it’s realized this was not the third Los Angeles earthquake in as many weeks, the setup of Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut Blink Twice is doled out in impressively economical fashion: Rent is due for Frida (Naomie Ackie) and Jess (Alia Shawkat). Rather than pay up and keep the wheels spinning in their going-nowhere-fast lives, Frida has a plan: retrieving a hidden wad of bills, she purchases gowns so she and Jess can crash a fancy gala after their waitress shifts end. Looking suitably glamorous, the two ignore a security guard’s insistence they stay away from tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) and his entourage. As “It Ends With Us” continues to light up the box office, fans of Colleen Hoover’s novel are eager to see the story continue with an adaptation of Hoover’s sequel “It Starts With Us.” But given the drama swirling around the film’s co-stars and press tour, how complicated will it be to get the follow-up off the ground?

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Season 2 has added Timothy Simons to its cast, Variety has learned exclusively.

“It Ends With Us” may be a hit at the box office, but the film’s marketing has sparked a new wave of criticism for Colleen Hoover’s best-selling domestic violence drama.
The project’s stars Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have notably not been seen together on the press tour, raising eyebrows from fans at home.
The film, based on Hoover’s bestseller, follows the complicated story between Lily Bloom (Lively) and Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni). What starts as a steamy romance quickly turns into a situation that Lily herself cannot comprehend as abuse, initially.
The ‘creative differences’-style feud feels similar to that of Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling,” but this time, domestic violence survivors are boycotting the movie.

None of the female stars of Zoë Kravitz’s raucous, razor-sharp directorial debut “Blink Twice” (FKA “Pussy Island”) are ever directly told to smile, but as they’re increasingly battered with queries about how much fun they’re having — the phrase “are you having a good time?” is essentially weaponized here — the implication is clear. They better be having a good time. They better smile. And they better never forget where they are. As Kravitz’s stars, including an exceptional Naomi Ackie and a revelatory Adria Arjona, are forced to flicker through various kinds of self-presentation-as-self-preservation, Kravitz’s film kaleidoscopically changes shape. And you won’t want to miss a single frame of it.

Colleen Hoover fans will be on cloud nine after Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us, based on the author’s work, has become a theatrical success. While the film is a clear winner at the box office, it is also gaining attention for a reported feud between Lively and co-star Justin Baldoni. One latest update proves that the feud could be bigger than fans ever imagined.
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively in It Ends With Us | Columbia Pictures

It Ends With Us filmmaker and star Justin Baldoni has hired crisis PR vet Melissa Nathan of The Agency Group as rumors ramp up about the locking of horns between the pic’s star and producer Blake Lively and him.
Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios co-financed the $25M production with Sony based on the bestselling Colleen Hoover novel. The pic overindexed at the box office from a $15M projection on tracking three weeks ago to an astounding $50M opening last weekend.
However, in the walk-up to the pic’s opening, rumors began to swirl, particularly among fans on TikTok, that there was a big fight between Baldoni and Lively. Fans pointed to myriad examples, read the duo didn’t take photos together at the Aug. 6 NYC premiere; Baldoni arrived very early and Lively later. Some observed that Lively doesn’t follow Baldoni on social.
In the film, Baldoni plays the abusive lover to Lively’s character.
