Different and new story

It is a brilliantly made movie! From the first 5 minutes of the movie, it grips your attention and doesn't leave till the last scene. There are enough twists and turns to keep you hooked through the length. Excellent acting from all the characters. Although the writing gets a bit vague at places, like the character of the dad(Amit Sadh) should have been more defined to justify his general behaviour towards his family. Some more scenes were need to explain the complexity of the relationship and the dynamics within the family. Having said that, the movie is quite tightly made with very few unnecessary scenes or drags. The child actors are all amazing, especially the boy. Would love to see such movies from Zee5. Well done!

A good thriller

Cruel, manipulative and complex a mind

Barot House (Zee5) - The Barot household is plunged into a dark phase when two of the four children, both girls are found murdered in close succession. Their mother Bhavana (Manjari Phadnis) is driven to the point of a mental depression whilst their father Amit (Amit Sadh) grapples with the incidents. His younger brother who had just finished a jail term is arrested by the police but he maintains his innocence. Then a calamitous third murder of the neighbour's child takes place.

Barot House is the portrayal of a deeply disturbed mind, replete with cunning complexity of a neurological disorder. The fragile relationship between Amit and his son Malhar, the eldest child, is indeed pivotal. The needle of suspicion keeps swinging helter skelter but the catharsis in the end spells cruelty, lack of remorse and the labyrinthine mind of a master manipulator. These kind of events are normally not common, but this is what criminal minds are made of.

Good but could have better

Story and concept is fabulous. Screenplay is nicely maintained. I think story and screenplay have saved the accent of the movie. I found that the problem was with the direction as a whole. It's seem that without good direction even a talented actor like amit sedhai couldn't perform well. There well many simple mistakes which could have been easily solved to make the movie more effective and powerful. Still whole team work is nice. Expect to see more movies like this.

The best thriller suspense

Lack of direction

Story was very good but the better direction was missed. I was expecting a better cinematography too but I think this project was done by bunch of amateurs. I would give 8.5 stars for story but 4 stars for cinematography and 5 star for direction out of 10.

Watch till all the titles roll at the end of the film

That's how long they hold the suspense. Some hints given along the way but confirmed only in the final seconds of the voice over when the credits run.

Worth watching. Maybe editing could have cut 10 mins but the movie grips you. Can't talk of the story as it kills the mystery

a nice thriller but not for children

I have no expectations from this movie and just watched it to see the performance of Amit Saad, but it turned out to be a good mystery thriller movie which is based on true story.

The acting performance of Amit Saad and that child artist was superb and worth appreciating.

I'll definitely recommend it to watch, because it's good one and surely deserves 7 out of 10 stars from my side.

I wish someone mature should have directed this one , Amit and the kid gave a great performances but wrong way of execution leads to super loose and super weak direction .

First of all, let me talk about the acting. Amazing performance by each and every character. The kids were amazing. Manjari Phadnis was excellent. Amit Sadh, as brilliant as always. There was no room for an average performance also. They were all simply excellent. I can't stop appreciating the kid enough. Malhar ( character name) . He was perfect. The story is something you can't even imagine would happen since you know it's based on true events. It's a continuous thrill ride. You just keep watching from, start to end. It's about the murders of kids and the investigation. I still can't find the original case that this story was based on. I searched and searched and searched .. Great movie, don't miss !

Can't be better

Just saw today and being a thriller writer myself, I can only say that it's a great story, I did not find any error. All the actors brilliantly lived their characters. Sick Movie

Dont about schizophrenia but have seen movies portrait it n this is the worst way as all other characters seem mad too. Police behaves like goons and the father is a crack himself.

FYI, This movie is inspired from a true event. It has the power to grip you on the edge of your seat right from the first minute to until the end. Brilliant performances by the talented kids and the lead actors. I enjoyed it thoroughly. P.S. - Don't miss the last 2 minutes.

Fab writing. Fab story line. A thriller that makes you think you cracked it and then leaves you thinking it was all a lie. And knowing its inspired from a real story makes it more shocking.

The kid acting is bang on.

I am glad they write disclaimer in the beginning of movie! and then this is what they show you! Really thrilled every second of movie. Must watch. But I bet you will loose your thoughts after watching this..Good Luck!
