This might be the best episode yet. Hear me out...

This is the world's history compiled in one single 20 minute episode. Throughout the episode we see how the only reason people lived was to reproduce (while also dying at a young age). Then religion came into the picture and made us find meaning in society, which is exactly what Summer is creating with making "Glorzo". This is keeping the world/mind at peace while also expanding civilization and society. And finally we have the Enlightment era, when Rick and Morty (accidentally) remove their face masks which makes them able to see the world "as it really is", with their own eyes and not the society's. With this comes destruction and agony (like WW2 and the destruction of the 20th century). This could create some kind of parallell with Nietzsches philosophy:

"God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. There has never been a greater deed; and whosoever shall be born after us - for the sake of this deed he shall be part of a higher history than all history hitherto."

Those are my two cents.

Great episode even if something feels a bit off

This episode was really good with plenty of great jokes and humor. As many have said, I think last episode was meant to tell us that Rick and Morty is going back to random adventures rather than following a story which I definitely prefer. Hopefully the rest of the season will follow this episode's style.

This is sorta a slow burn. But still very good and some damn funny moments. Makes you think and certainly makes you laugh

Best episode of the season so far. Had me laughing throughout. Feels like an OG episode but better. Hoping rest of the season stacks up but this episode went somewhere no other episode this season has gone before.

Classic Rick and Morty.

After the Brilliant but head ache inducing Never Ricking Morty. We get an episode that, plays it safe. It might not be their best episode, but it is sure to be a fan favourite for those who have found this season to be too fast paced and complicated. We see Rick and Morty have a fun filled adventure shooting aliens and blowing up buildings. They get to not feel guilt, and worry about the consequences.

It's only after the adventure ends that Rick and Morty find out that thins are not as they seem. They don't know the full story...

Promortyus is clever, but not too clever, Offensive, but not 911 offensive, and weird but not meta weird. This episode is not their best, but far from the worst. It's just classic Rick and Morty and the fact is thats enough for me.

So. The whole "society has been mind controlled" thing has been done by them already with unity. So this really is just some sort of rehash of their own material. Which might be why it is at least one of the better episodes. Although this time the attempt to humanize the body snatching parasite falls flat both on moral and comedic angles.

Season 4 so far has been one giant disappointment after the other. There are no interesting themes in the episodes, no mind shattering realizations of an uncaring universe. Not even interesting character development. Jerry bee keeps now. That is the extend of character growth we got this episode.

But worse it isn't even particularly funny either.

I waited for the point where the real episode will start from and it never did. The whole episode felt like a side-plot to me. With no effort. And all these adventure episodes always has a Jerry B-plot or something which is at least remains interesting. This had nothing, no existential undertone, no clever critic of anything, nothing. They have 63 more episodes to go from the new contract. I'm really worried about this show. Is it gonna gradually go downhill from here like Simpsons or Family Guy did?

I really liked the last episode, it was all over the place sure, but it was really funny and it at least tried something new. But this one i really didnt feel to be honest, what has happened to rick and morty? Why did they have to change writers? This episode started off strong, but overall it was a let down, so satisfactory, uninspiring episode, rick and morty has finally lost its magic

Unfortunately it's looking a lot like they jumped the shark this season. The jokes are crude and lazy. Feels like it's lost a bit of direction

I like Rick and Morty for the adventure. Keep offensive jokes out of it please.

Season 4 is really weird. The jokes are not funny and likely funny if you're 10 years old, even then it could be insulting to the intelligence of most the kids these days.

Then comes this episode and comes the fan defending offensive jokes that I'm not sure whether it could be classified as funny or not. Bottom line is, skip this episode, wait for the episode where there's a real Rick and Morty adventure.

The concept made it feel like one of the OG episodes. So wholesome at times. And funny as hell. The 9/11 pearl harbor scene had me absolutely rolling.

This one was good actually. Quite a few funny moments although this musical habit that's suddenly emerged needs to die immediately. The 9/11 joke was especially funny I thought. This was just a fun Rick and Morty adventure that kinda reminded me of seasons 1 and 2. Again it's nothing groundbreaking and I think R&M is past its prime but nonetheless I enjoyed it

The New Episode Tackles Themes of the everlasting Lifecycle All Lifeforms have. Maybe it's not meant to have deep themes, but it sure comes across that way. Only Rick and Morty can pull off ideas like that, boosted with great action sequences with bitting satire. The episode takes its time more than most to set up the characters dynamic, once everything starts hitting the jokes never really miss. There's also a really funny 9/11 joke I didn't expect, it makes the episode bold in its time.

Really funny and chilled episode. The amount of incest humour was a bit disturbing but that's a nitpick. Quality episode.

Unlike the previous episode which was a masterpiece with great storytelling, characters and twists, this episode was boring, very simple and straight, not funny, full of meaningless actions, nothing novel or creative (compare to other episodes). Because they showed all new things and masks and other kinds of stuff of this episode before in trailers. I watched every episode of R&M at least 3 times, but I could hardly follow this episode until the end.

Also, this is not classic R&M! classic R&M is "Meeseeks and Destroy", "Total Rickall", "The Ricks Must Be Crazy" etc. This episode is way far from the mentioned episodes in every aspect.

Moreover, I feel that Rick character was not powerful as usual, I don't like this weak Rick!

Overall I give this show a 9-10... I don't know what's going on with it lately though, I don't follow enough "politics" to know if there has been a creative change, but this is uninspired, boring and pointless, and needlessly dumb and vulgar. I had like the first two minutes of episode were I had high hopes, then it tanked... hard... Star Wars hard.

I get it, Rick and Morty are not clean comedy lol that's why i like them. But there used to be a level of intelligence that brought the grubby style up and made it all work. This is fart and masturbation jokes, nothing funny, nothing clever, nothing but a big cliche and rehashing of old jokes.

It's like what happened with season 4 of community lol the gas leak... Dan man, check yourself.... you guys have WAY too many episodes left on the contract to let yourselves go like this... that's just rude.

If this was the first episode of this show I would have watched, it would have been the last.

Old fashion funny Rick and Morty

My favorite episode this season! I love season four but this episode feels the most like classic rick and morty.
