Clip Farming has been a recurrent feature on social media which a lot of viewers have expressed annoyance against. Unfortunately, it seems like a popular streaming platform has also jumped on the bandwagon of the trend.
Netflix’s new feature Moments has been introduced so that users can bookmark, rewatch, and share their favorite moments from shows but that is not all. To some this feature seems like a scheme for something else, it would help not only discourage people from taking screenshots but also promote clip farming on the site and related shows.
The ethical screen-sharing: Netflix’s new initiative
Variety released an article about Netflix’s new feature, explaining in detail what it means for users. Moments would allow viewers to save and rewatch their favorite clips from shows on the site.

To judge from the electric response of the youthful audience at the Sam Gold-helmed production of Romeo + Juliet, the casting of Rachel Zegler and Kit Connor as William Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers will be enough to persuade their fans that this story is dope Af. It’s not hard to imagine teens, having just watched Connor’s Romeo dangle in the air from Juliet’s suspended bed before doing a pull-up to hoist himself up to kiss her, begging their drama teachers to stage a Shakespeare tragedy this spring instead of, say, Clue.
In Gold’s previous Shakespeare outings on Broadway—2019’s Glenda Jackson-headlined King Lear and 2022’s Macbeth, starring Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga—you really had to know the plays well to have any idea of what was going on. While critics cited the incoherence of their abstractions, I found much to relish in the...

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, which I guess must include the one embroidered on the black mesh singlet worn by Kit Connor. Sam Gold’s Gen Z Romeo + Juliet revival can be chaotic and undisciplined, but it’s also breathless and swoony, angry and violent, tender and sexy Af. Ready to attest to that was the mob of young women and queer kids in my audience who let out a squeal of excitement when Connor took a flying leap into a pull-up to kiss co-star Rachel Zegler on a bed suspended above the stage. This is not your grandmother’s balcony scene, but it’s disarming.

Our top pick this week, “Woman of the Hour,” is the directorial debut of Academy Award nominee Anna Kendrick. Kendrick stars in this Netflix true-crime thriller as Cheryl Bradshaw, a woman who had a terrifying encounter with serial killer Rodney Alcala, whom she met when they both appeared on the game show “The Dating Game” in 1978. Daniel Zovatto, best known for appearing in horror movies like “It Follows” and “Don’t Breathe,” plays Alcala, with Tony Hale playing the host, who’s based on Jim Lange.
Kendrick is one of the few people to be nominated for the Triple Crown of Acting without winning in any category. She might get there someday, especially if she keeps making movies like this, a tense and thoughtful thriller with a 91% “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Here are some other movies to stream this weekend:

Viewership for “The Menendez Brothers” doc nearly doubled that of “The Predator,” which took second place with 12.9 million views, and more than doubled that of “Lonely Planet” as the Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth-led romcom took the No. 3 slot with 11 million views.
“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” was the No. 4 most-watched English film of the week with 10.4 million views, while “It’s What’s Inside” took...

Heartstopper‘s Joe Locke is having a week. He’s been keeping one of Marvel’s worst-kept secrets for two years, and after the latest episode of Agatha All Along, he can finally breathe a sign of relief. I say worst-kept because anyone familiar with Marvel Comics has known his character’s identity for years. Sure, Marvel could always pull a fast one, but all signs have pointed to Locke’s “Teen” being Billy Kaplan, also known as Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan, the Scarlet Witch’s son. Whether you’re shocked by Teen’s true identity or not, Billy’s arrival in the MCU stirs the cauldron into something fierce, especially since we don’t know if he’s a good or bad witch. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Locke opens up about waiting for the reveal and what his place in the MCU could mean for the Scarlet Witch’s return.

In last Wednesday's episode of Agatha All Along - read our recap here - we learned that Joe Locke's Teen is Billy, the son of Vision and the Scarlet Witch.
When we last saw him as a little boy, he faded into nothingness when the Hex came down. However, there are plenty of ideas from Marvel Comics that Marvel Studios can use to explain Wiccan's shocking resurrection.
The closing moments of "Darkest Hour / Wake They Power" saw Wiccan use the powers he'd kept a secret to fling Agatha Harkness, Lilia Calderu, and Jennifer Hale into quicksand-like mud. Meanwhile, a Scarlet Witch-inspired crown appeared on his forehead to the tune of Billie Eilish's "You Should See Me in a Crown."
"The show starts getting real," Locke tells Entertainment Weekly. "The show starts with Billy being very much the familiar, the secondary to all the witches. Now we know he is also a witch,...

Heartstopper is an amazing show that has gained a wide following, thanks to its upbeat tone, dynamic relationships, and willingness to address serious issues. Fans love to root for Nick and Charlie's love story, but they get just as much from seeing Nick's family tensions and Charlie's struggles with mental health.
Heartstopper season 3 just arrived on Netflix on Oct. 3, 2024, which gives fans 8 more episodes to swoon over. But it is still a relatively short show, and the show's crave-ability means that fans can run out of episodes after a couple of binge sessions. Once that happens, it's back to looking for shows to fill the hole it leaves until the next season.
On the up side, there are plenty of other shows out there to recommend. There's plenty of other great LGBTQ+ teen romances out there, like Young Royals, Love, Victor, and Sex Education. And those are all options worth checking out!

Between shipwreck treasure-dives, murder cover-ups, and love triangles, still moments on Outer Banks, the Netflix series about teenage treasure hunters operating off the shores of North Carolina, are hard to come by. So when filming for the second half of Season Four moved to the western coast of Morocco, Rudy Pankow, who plays the daredevil JJ, seized the opportunity for a quick jaunt to the Sahara desert. Spoiler Warning: This story discusses major plot developments in Season 1, Episode 5 of “Agatha All Along,” currently streaming on Disney+.
Practically since the news broke that “Heartstopper” star Joe Locke was joining the cast of “Agatha All Along,” Marvel fans have been gleefully speculating about who Locke’s character could be. At the very end of Wednesday night’s episode, “Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power,” the show effectively confirmed that Locke is indeed playing who the vast majority of fans had agreed was the most likely candidate: Wiccan.
Before that reveal, a great deal happens in a bracingly short amount of time. Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) is possessed by the ghost of her mother, Evanora (Kate Forbes), during a Witches’ Road trial that evokes 1980s teen horror movies. When Alice (Ali Ahn), newly liberated from her family curse, uses her magic to free Agatha from the possession, Agatha begins draining all of Alice’s powers.

Heartstoppercreator Alice Oseman knows fans are hoping for more Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) on their television following the Season 3 premiere on Oct. 3. Oseman feels the same way: as the writer of the original graphic novels, and executive producer and showrunner of the beloved YA show, they are excited for what comes next, and eager to tell that story.
“In terms of the show, obviously there is more story in the books that we have yet to cover, and we would love to tell the end of the story in TV form,” they tell Tudum. Heartstopper Season 3 took inspiration from Volume 4 and Volume 5; there is a sixth and final novel on the way. Oseman confirms she is in talks with Netflix and Heartstopper’s production company, See-Saw Films, about what will come next for the television series.

On a flight not so long ago, Ella Purnell managed to terrify the woman sat next to her after accidentally giving her a glimpse of the recent viewing history on her laptop.
“It was basically 50 shows about serial killers,” she recalls, speaking over coffee in a café near her flat in East London (which she admits she’s rarely been in due to excessive recent travel). “But specifically female serial killers, because they’re very different from male serial killers.”
As Purnell notes, the concerned neighbor was carrying a baby, which she then “literally moved” away from her.
“So I had to explain. I was like, ‘I’m so sorry, I’m actually researching, it’s part of my job… I promise you, I’m not a monster,'” she recalls. “But I’m not sure how convincing I was.”

Heartstopper: Why is Oliver Spring Missing From Season 3? Cameo Explained - Main Image
Heartstopper season 3 officially introduces a member of the Spring family. But why did Oliver Spring take this long before joining the hit Netflix show? Here's how Heartstopper author Alice Oseman changed their mind!
Oliver 'Springs' Into Action For a Brief Heartstopper Season 3 Cameo (And For Good Reason)
Charlie and Tori Spring were initially introduced in Heartstopper as a pair of siblings. But longtime fans of the popular graphic novel are well aware that they were one brother short: Oliver Spring.
Fans initially questioned Alice Oseman's decision to exclude him. According to a fan's report, it all "comes down to the painful process of casting younger actors."
It is worth mentioning though that the author hadn't made any official comment on this apart from the Instagram comment on officially having Olly on board.

The latest episode of Agatha All Along, "Darkest Hour, Wake Thy Power," solved the biggest mystery that's been taunting Marvel fans since the show started: who is Teen, the Agatha Harkness fanboy played by Heartstopper's Joe Locke? Teen has some kind of curse placed on him that prevents him from revealing his identity to anyone. But Agatha seems to have figured it out: at the end of the episode, she icily whispers to him that he's a lot like his mother. Teen then uses his magic powers to throw Agatha, Jen and Lilia into a sucking swamp beside the witches' road, apparantly killing them. The last shot of the episode is of him glaring at the swamp while wearing a crown that bears a striking similarity to the one worn by the Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, played in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Elizabeth Olsen.

After weeks of speculation, it appears that fans are finally figuring out who Joe Locke is playing on Agatha All Along!
The 21-year-old Heartstopper actor shares the screen with the likes of Kathryn Hahn in the new Disney+ series, which picks up after 2021′s WandaVision. Up to now, his character has only been referred to as Teen.
Teen’s identity is shrouded in mystery as a result of a magical “sigil.” It’s purpose is literally to stop him from telling others about his past. Of course, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about the character.
During the October 9 episode “Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power” there was a huge hint about Teen’s real name, and it seemingly confirmed a long-running theory that would tie Joe‘s character even more into the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The hit Netflix teen drama “Heartstopper” released its third season this month. Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel series, the show follows the blossoming romance of Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson as high school students. Season three continues their story while tackling more mature themes.
The new season picks up where the last one ended, with Nick having come out as bisexual and their relationship now public. According to reviewers, this season delves deeper into both the joys and challenges of maintaining a young romance. It also explores heavier issues like mental illness, eating disorders, and the difficulties of long-distance relationships when facing university or treatment programs.
Oneexample noted bycritics is a beach scene where Charlie expresses his love for Nick, but their moment is interrupted by Nick’s concern over Charlie’s potential eating disorder. This encapsulates how the show addresses both the excitement of new love and serious personal struggles.

Audiences can’t get enough of Adam Brody and Kristen Bell in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This.
In its first full week on the streamer, the 10-episode romcom rose to 15.9M views, making it No. 1 in TV and the most-watched English language title of the week. It couldn’t beat The Platform 2, a Spanish thriller, which generated 19.4M views and topped the Non-English film list.
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story fell to second place during this interval, still tallying 13.1M views, while Love is Blind Season 7 launched with 5.2M views.
Heartstopper also returned to the list with Season 3 amassing 4.5M views, which was good enough for fourth place. The Perfect Couple is also still holding onto a spot at No. 5 with 3.8M views. Meanwhile, Season 4 of Emily in Paris is losing steam, coming in at No. 9 with 2.6M views.
Things were a bit slow on the English films list.

Heartstopper is back for season 3, and my heart is full of butterflies again. The Netflix show has consistently managed to keep a light and fleeting touch to its whirlwind romance with a mix of genuine emotions and issues that plague a teenager. The current season opens with our characters being extremely kind and understanding of each other’s wants and needs. Most of the season, however, is about Charlie dealing with his eating disorder and body dysphoria while everyone else also struggles in some way. The season does feel like it was beating around the same topic again and again, to a point where it started getting repetitive with little to no development in the overall arc of the characters or the show in general. In the following article, I will take a look at everything major that takes place in Season 3 of Heartstopper, including what the ending means. Please...

You could argue that good TV shows have a tougher time than bad ones.
A bad or average show has obvious room for improvement and clear changes that can be made between seasons. A good show has to stay good, maybe even level up to great or superb or other glowing descriptors, and that’s a trickier task.
Netflix’s “Heartstopper” is one such series, a romance created by Alice Oseman and based on her own graphic novels. Over the course of three seasons (so far!), Nick (Kit Connor) Charlie (Joe Locke), and all their friends navigate all kinds of relationships, with an enchanting soundtrack and pops of illustration to immerse the viewer in their world. The series always was and continues to be just wonderful, dwelling comfortably in queer joy and friendship as the characters grow up and prepare to leave school.
With that foundation, you can’t fault...

From new episodes of current favorites to new series, there’s plenty to stream this weekend and Show Snob is here to be your guide!
There aren’t too many new shows dropping on a streaming platform this week, but that’s okay because we’ve got plenty of recently released episodes to catch up on. For starters, we’ve got the reboot of Scare Tactics on USA Network, hosted by Jordan Peele. This is the perfect series to kick off the Spooky Season. But if you’re not into scary pranks, how about Heartstopper? Love and friendship are never out of style if you ask me. The third season is now streaming on Netflix.
Here are more weekend of Oct. 5 highlights, followed by a detailed list of what’s new, when, and where to stream it if you’d like to just skip to the info!

Ever since her debut in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim’s “West Side Story,” New Jersey-native Rachel Zegler has quickly become one of Hollywood’s go-to young starlets. Despite this rapid ascension and her appreciation for the success she’s found in the entertainment business, in a recent interview with Variety, she admitted that the city where much of the actual business is conducted isn’t exactly her favorite place to be.
“The reason I fell in love with this industry is not because of this town,” Zegler said of Hollywood. “In fact, I kind of can’t stand this town. I don’t like that there’s a town built around the industry that I work in; it’s stifling and isolating and weird. In New York, nobody gives a fuck.”

In its third season (recapped here), Netflix’s Heartstopper remains one of the most swoon-worthy series ever. But in Episode 4, Isaac discloses to his tight-knit friend group that he won’t be following them down the path to coupledom: Like creator Alice Oseman, he identifies as asexual and aromantic. “I had that planned from the moment I created the character,” Oseman tells TVLine. “I knew that was what I wanted to do with him.
“I think a lot of people — most people in the world — don’t know what it means to be asexual, to be aromantic” she continues. “So with Isaac,...

Note: This story contains spoilers from the “Heartstopper” Season 3 finale.
After hinting at some warning signs in the first two seasons, “Heartstopper” Season 3 dives headfirst into Charlie’s mental health struggles and eating disorder as Alice Oseman crafted his crisis to become the “main topic” of the season.
“I wanted to show the whole journey for Charlie,” Oseman told TheWrap. “I wanted to see how and why his eating disorder gets a lot worse, but then also how he gets out of that place as well, and how he takes those steps towards recovery.”
As Charlie (Joe Locke) comes to terms to terms with his eating disorder, and begins to seek help — at first from Nick (Kit Connor), then his parents and eventually an in-patient care facility — Nick’s goes on what Oseman calls a “parallel” journey as he struggles to support Charlie, and faces his own fears as he...

[This story contains spoilers from season three of Heartstopper.]
“I do feel like season one was the most special season. Half of us hadn’t even been on a set before, so it was very, very pure. This season, we’re more adults. It’s a very different kind of thing,” Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney divulges over Zoom. “This season, I don’t know what happened — I mean, I was in a relationship. But the season just really challenged me.”
Heartstopper, Alice Oseman’s popular YA Netflix drama that garnered wide praise in its first season — and some criticism as too saccharine in its second — is back for a third, and with its return, marks a tonal shift from what the creator and showrunner describes as having been a generally “lighter, more hopeful and optimistic” coming-of-age tale. Currently streaming on Netflix, this season’s aged-up take on relationships, sex and mental health for its group of Lgbtqia+ and...
