Sex & Nudity

  • Some women in the background wear slightly revealing clothing.

Violence & Gore

  • There's Lots of Slapstick Cartoon/Violence in This show like Stealing Souls and regular Cartoon Action
  • Rockets, gunpowder and explosions appear frequently. Physical comical violence - Beating up, punch, kick, slap, shovel, push, burn, and bite are very common.

Profanity

  • There isn't really any cussing in the show but sometimes they say insults
  • Some non-profane rudeness, and terms some would consider mildly rude, such as "ding-dongs."
  • None throughout all the show's first three seasons (actually produced as one, but released and marketed as three), with the closest being the use of the line "it really sucks an egg" in the episode, "A Very Devilish Christmas," and the direct use of "hell" in the description for a promotional clip for S3 on social media.
  • No profane but mild name calling/insults use mostly antiquated terms: "ding-dong," "oh, banana oil," "dumb yokels," "loser," "punk," etc. In season 1, "heck" is uses twice.
  • In "The I scream man", Mugman says "YOUR STUPID CROOKED HAT!" but crooked sounds like f---ing.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • You sometimes see a character smoking and or drinking alcohol all in a very cartoonise way not grown up at all
  • The show (and game) take place in the prohibition era and as such contain some implied alcohol use, tobacco use, and gambling--all done non-explicitly and mostly in the background.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The Devil's appearances could scare young viewers.

  • As of season 1 this show has almost nothing frightening. The only time there's something unsettling is when Cuphead has a nightmare, Mugman is sucked into the wall and Elder Kettle becomes skeletal.
  • A character is scammed at a game show and gets his soul sucked out of him. This may not be scary to children, but some may feel intense pity for him as his emotions change from eagerly awaiting his prize to being trapped in a room, then drained of his color and rendered sick and weak.
  • Baroness Von Bon Bon says to Cuphead and Mugman: -"Now you two are delicious". Byt whe she says delicious het voice changes to a darker tone and sharps teeth come out from her mouth (It's a jump scare).
  • In final scenes of season 2 , Cuphead stolen the pitchfork by Devil, instead, Devil taking Mugman to underground. It will upset to some viewers.
  • In the final episode of season 3, the devil shows Chalice what would happened if she never got a second chance as she starts to crack and turn in to dust and bone, this scene may be graphic for younger viewers.
  • After the final scene of Season 1 and 2, it should be notes that the series is still running. This may be aware for some audiences.
  • The Devil is often in this show, which may be annoying for most Christians.
