Good fun if not great
TheLittleSongbird2 September 2011
As a big fan of the original Pink Panther cartoons, I watched Pink Panther and Pals expecting little. The show doesn't hold a candle to the original, and is not brilliant, however it is much better than I anticipated. The animation is not amazing, but far from bad either. I loved the colours and the animation on the Pink Panther, however some of the backgrounds lack fluidity and Aardvark's character design takes some getting used to. The music is upbeat and jazzy, plus it has a nostalgic vibe to it. The stories at first were juvenile, but now they're wittier and more inspired, while the show's writing and situations are getting funnier all the time. Voice acting is mostly solid, though Ant's voice can grate sometimes. Overall, a fun show, but I can understand why due to the rocky start some mayn't like it. 7/10 Bethany Cox

Only 26 episodes?

Warning: Spoilers
I used to watch this show a lot when it first came out I was 10 back then. Whenever I had a bad day at school I just looked forward to coming back home and watching my TV shows which included this show. My favorite episodes are The Spy episode, the factory episode, the magic show episode, the pizza episode and variety of others.

I also liked the Ant and Aardvark shorts most of them anyways even though I wish there was more going on then just them chasing each other. Even though I wish they had a crossover between Pink Panther. This Thundercats, The Garfield Show, Voltron Legendary Defenders (Which I have not seen), a few DC/Marvel shows, DuckTales 2017 and TMNT 2003/2012 is an example of a good reboot done.

Which I believe Cartoon Network is lacking right now alongside failed or stupid like Clearance, Teen Titans GO!, DC Super Hero Girls, Ben 10 2016, Justice League action, PPG 2016, The amazing world of gumball and Mighty Megaswords.

If you want to see a really good reboot I would definitely recommend this show to both kids and adults.

I really wish though it stayed on the air for longer at least 3 more years and had a few more seasons oh well it was good while it lasted.

I wonder why it got canceled or ended quickly?

Great reimagining
mitsubishizero24 August 2019
As a fan of the original cartoon I thought this was pretty good. The episodes are interesting, the jokes are funny and the characters are enjoyable to watch. It's like the original though with even wackier stories. From jumping into arcade games to surviving a haunted mansion. Some of them have been done before but the show manages to do something new with them.

I also like the Ant and Aardvark shorts. They're pretty funny as well. It's a shame this show was canceled early because it had a lot going for it. If you can find it i'd say check it out.

Not a good show.

Cartoon Network broadcasts terribly bad shows like "Clarence" or "The Amazing World of Gumball". "Pink Panther & Pals" was cancelled just in its first year, and was exchanged by other series I don't know. But its not a good one. In the "Pink Panther" segments, Pinky has been made a teenager, he's fat and short. The Little Man has been renamed "Big Nose" and makes voice gestures, like groaning or shouting. The gags are not funny. "The Ant & the Aardvark", is still good, the plot is just the old one (Aardvark trying to eat Ant), but it has its bad things: Ant has been also made as teenager, his voice is not the one that impersonates Dean Martin and his head is different. With Aardvark is everything good. The gags made me laugh. In my opinion, "Pink Panther & Pals" has not the best gags, but some things are good, not perfect, but good. Also a bad thing that "The Inspector" characters (at least the Inspector) weren't included.

Pink Panther and Pals is fun
catfish-er9 May 2010
My 8 year-old daughter loves the old Pink Panther cartoons. She has all 6 DVDs. She likes the Inspector. But she isn't too much of a fan of the Ant and the Aardvark.

However, we just watched the new Pink Panther and Pals. She's the one who gave it a "10." She thinks it is better than the old stuff. That's a bit of a debate on my part. But, we did set the DVR to record all the new episodes, so we won't miss them.

Pink Panther and Pals is fun. Fun for the whole family. So, don't worry whether you you enjoy the old episodes or not. Watch this one for its own merits.

CN canceled this for fricken Scaredy Squirrel?
tommypezmaster30 July 2019
Personally, I find it criminal that CN not only took this show down in a year, but that it wasn't critically panned but was dropped due to low ratings. In reality though this show is better than what what you would think. Pink Panther and Pal is a modern take on both Pink Panther and The Ant and The Aardvark and so many more. Now it may sound like a show that has been done to death, but it has a lot of creative twists in it. The characters on this show have great personalities to them, and each bring their own humor. Pink is my favorite since he is so level minded. He can solve a problem but be calm about it. Big Nose is his rival, and even though he act like a stereotypical villain, he's still pretty cool. he can also be understood for Pink's antics and selfish since he's the big bad of the show. Ant is also level minded, he also solve problems and be calm about it. Aardvark is Ant's rival who want to eat him. He also wants to become something like Neo Cortex. Big Noes' Dog is his henchman who helps him foil Pink's fun. The horse is Pink's friend who appears as a guest star. Each character on this show brings a good amount of humor. The humor can range from slapstick, to gags, and to random humor that is done right. Whenever I see this show there will be plenty of laughs. The stories are good, and creative. While some of them are rehashed there are new elements added to the mix to keep the episode fresh. The artwork is really good in this show. The characters and monsters have good, if not inspired, designs, and the sets look creative. The animation though is stiff sometimes, and can be a little choppy. I really wish this show didn't have to end so soon. CN didn't give this show a proper chance at all, and didn't deserve to end so soon. If you haven't seen this show yet see if you can find DVDs of the series or if there are episodes on YouTube. Pink Panther and Pals will in my mind be remembered as a classic, and is a show well worth bringing back, and watching.

I like dog 10/10
ratatinfan8 December 2023
The program is fun and entertaining as it has so few episodes, there are good and decent chapters, almost reaching bad ones, but in any case the series is good in my opinion, there are characters what I like, for example, the dog is a good character, a little simple but funny at the end of the day, another would be the panther FF8BDE himself, who is a good character and in a certain way is the protagonist of the entire series, although technically speaking the series has no deep background, it is just chapters without extensive lore or things like that, it is just a series about a panther and his friends My favorite chapters are the one about the smoothies and the one about the pizza thanks for reading this review.
