"Thanneermathan Dinangal" Malayalam movie. Debutant director Girish, presents us the adolescent life and tensions of Jaison, through this well knitted 'easy go luck' project.

Mathew Thomas after his brilliant performance in "Kumbalangi Nights", has handled 'Jaison' an average teenager's role very well. His ideas, conflicting with himself, his friends and the society is vividly depicted. Anawarya Rajan as his teenage love is at par. Vineeth Sreenivasan as a new gen teacher, is interesting. Story unfolds Jaison's life, 2 years during his plus two schooling. His infatuations, spur of the moment decisions - which usually going wrong, his friends, his cricket... lot of items in the presentation give us nostalgia, about our teenage period. Climax is unexpected, funny and gives us, feel good sensation. 7.5 on 10 for this drama with many situational comedies. Definite for a relaxed watch.... Yes, I vote for this.

The feeling of young tender love, especially when it reminds you of your own time back in the day, and when it has been shot with so much finesse and care and with an authentic and peculiar Malayalam dialect that is not spoken but sung by its talented cast just makes Thanneer Mathan Dinangal (Watermelon Days) so much more appealing you will enjoy every shot and frame of it. TN.

Thanneermathan Dinangal is a malayalam romantic comedy film directed by Girish A.D.The film which is written by Girish A.D and Dinoy Poulose shows the +1 and +2 life of Jaison and team.The major plus point or the thing that makes the film so good is that it is extremely entertaining.Ever miniute,every second,even every fraction of a second is engaging and entertaininig in its own way.The film has avoided all sorts of cliches and the characters and comedies are nostalgic to almost everyone who has completed +2.All the performences are top notch especially the performances of Mathew Thomas and Vineeth Sreenivasan.The director has also done a brilliant job.The way he established characters were excellent and the comedies without any sort of cliches were well excecuted.The film despite having lots of characters gave importance to all characters,even small characters like Melvins mother and Basil's father.Even after the film many of the characters stand in our mind.Even Jaison's brothers, father,mother and relatives has it's own depth.The camera work by Jomon.T.John,who also produced the film were good,especially the scenes in 'Jatikka thottam'.The dialogues,especially between friends were very good,the way they speak,their comedies were well exceuted.Another thing that makes the film so good is it's climax which none of the audiences will forget.The climax was a perfect blend of everything,nothing more or nothing less .Thanneermathan Dinangal is a tale of friendship and +2romance.It is a film that can be watched by everyone without the barriers of age.100% Entertainment

Thanneer mathan dinangal is a nostalgic trip to your +2 life. It is just filled with joy and manages yo keep you laughing throughout till the end. At the end you are sure to get than warm fuzzy feeling of having watched a great movie. Just brilliant. The cast the songs the acting.. everything was flawless.and especially the love scenes unbelievably accurate.loved every bit of it... Favourite film of 2019 after kumbalangi.💞💞

The first time a 100% realistic movie in mollywood industry, all the credits to the director. Here no matter about casting, music, anything it's a complete entertainer. The movie contain comedy, romantic, Thrilling, Action everything, actually the viewers really missed their +2 life. It's not watched like a movie, it's passed through our life. Vineeth Srinivasan again showed his excellence in acting. Till now it's the best movie in 2019,without competitors.

This movie if put in one sentence is an realistic approach to a non realistic story. The events happening in this movie can never happen, but the way it is showcased makes it interesting. The movie has been made in a hurry, thats the feeling you get sometimes. The acting and the comedies is the stuffs that keeps you engaged while watching this one. The direction and screenplay is ok. The cast is..ok. considering the budget i guess its the best they can get. The story is the same old except for the non cliché ending. That i enjoyed. For an high school romance this one is rather fresh. Overall an above average movie

Short Review: What works best in Thanneer Mathan Dinangal (a title that screams nostalgia) is the situational humor. Mathew Thomas, fresh off his performance from the magnificent Kumbalangi Nights, brilliantly showcases the anxiety, helplessness, and disappointment that a teenage male often goes through in his life. Even if the film is centered around the male gaze, the women characters get to shine too. After watching TMD, you'll definitely want to see more of Anaswara Rajan in Malayalam cinema.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, as a young energetic teacher, is fun to watch. His head-to-heads with Jaison (Thomas) is what keeps the film engaging throughout. Writer/director Gireesh A.D deserves applause for getting the language used by the modern-day students spot on (words/phrases like 'show', 'onnu poyeda', and 'shokam' being overused is a subtle understatement). The film does overflow with nostalgia but that it manages to keep the audiences entertained is what counts here.

The success of TMD lies in its believable depiction of school days (right down to heading to the juice shop situated outside school during recess and coming back to class late), unlike let's say, a film like Pathinettam Padi. TMD is 100% light-hearted entertainment which makes you want to recall those carefree, good ol' days .. when all that mattered was wooing your crush, giving it back to an annoying teacher, or going on fun excursions with a large group. It's the kind of film that you wouldn't mind watching over and over when it plays on television, simply because the nostalgia is too good to resist.

Teenager movie

This was happens to be one of the most beautiful teenage rom-com from malayalam family gifted to everyone. Its been an year Im waiting for this film subtitles and was suprisingly found today, though subtitles are little flawed I still managed to understand the complete heart of the film.

From the beginning frame itself, It made me went back to my nostalgic school days, its memories, friends, crush's, love, everything was hit like a flashlight in my head. So loved tht each event in the film was so much fun to watch, never boring. Even you could easily be watch it with family bcoz there isn't a scene about sexual adult stuff, so classy nd happy film. Its starts with school going boy who falls in love with his classmate keerthi. The moment she rejected his proposal nd a new teacher joined nd disturbs him, his life starts going with circle of confusions nd devastating until she falls in love with him.

What's most endearing thing about the movie is the lead actors - both teenagers themselves. Mathew Joseph and Anaswara Rajan were cute, sweet nd adorable to watch. In the ending their performances're sheer brilliance, the way they pulled it was my eyes were opened wide. My smile was constantly shining with every scene passing in the film. I hope both'll be meet a great future in their industries.

The cinematography and music was like cool rain and rainbow. No matter what, I precisely want this kinda complete teenage romcom stuff. I heartfully feel this film nd will be with me within my heart.

The movie is very ameture. Just adding a bit of camera shake doesn't mean its natural and . I dont understand why everyone is hyped about the realistic bits of the story because it is counter balanced by the overacting bits and the many incidents in the movie which are too unreal for a so called "realistic" movie.

I always loved the movies of Vineeth. I wasn't expecting much from this movie but from the very first scene to the interval I laughed a lot... After the interval the movie gets a bit serious but still the comedy is added wherever possible. The best film, I have watched after Njan Prakashan.

Thanneermathan Dhinangal gives what 18am Padi couldn't. 18am Padi was school life and teenage years on paper but the movie was so horrible that gives us no emotion or nostalgia. Same with Oru Adaar Love. These movies were teenage fantasy done bad. TMD is the complete opposite. It makes us laugh all the time and takes us back to the classroom which most school life based movie couldn't. The performances of the whole cast was also very good unlike the above mentioned two movies. TMD also provides decent cinematography and music scores. The surprise in TMD was Vineeth Sreenivasan who gives his career best performance. I was not a big fan of his acting but this role was perfect for him and he done it in ease. June was the last school life based movie in Malayalam and it was a decent one. But TMD defeats June in all areas and simply one of the best movies of this year. Overall, TMD is a must watch theatre experience for all ages which takes us back to our school days.

This is the one of the reasons why Malayalam film industry stay as a top quality one, people are ready to accept small budget films which have content in-spite of big names like big M's. The movie is another in the range of feel good(70% to that extent),rather it is a teen romantic comedy thriller.

"Parava" and "Guppy" are other class films in this range that deals with these plots of school romance. The movie had more fun elements than booth of those movies but the quality is slightly below them. Because both of those movies dealt with more life concepts than just love. Other two mention-able films in this range is "Aanandham" and "Oru Adar Love". This movie is way better than both movies.

Movie deals with friendship and love. The movie become interesting with the introduction of Vinneth sreenivasan character "Ravi Padmanaban", who comes with a lot of mystery. Vinneth sreenivasan is brilliant as negative role.May be one of his good acting ( since he is a multi talented guy,only field i feel he lack something is "acting", so in that sense it's a greater improvement,His small guest roles are more remembered than his own full movies. ) Even though the character evolve-ment of that character moves in the expected line, ending is good, a bit surprised. And it was wise to end the movie with some post credit scenes of that character. Director brilliance....!!

The actors played main roles were good especially Mathew Thomas. More good acting, talented in handling comedy also apart from serious role styles in KN. The actors played along with him, the 'friendship" gang was also good, none of them over smarted and ruined their space, and adjusted in their role spaces. The acting from female lead role is average,(may be the story is from boy's side,that's why i felt so). Actors played the parents of male lead role played so natural,"realistic". But movie is not so Realistic...

Technical side is brilliant, especially cinematography and sound design, it's good to see so much directors encourage good tech guys in their team.Only thing that mattered me is the dialogues,some were brilliant, but some suck...,.may be because of more comedy dialogues.

If you prefer Entertainment, then you are at the right place. 100% entertainment guaranteed, but if you seek just more than enjoying with your friends, and wanna enjoy a "pakka" feel good movie, then your wait is not over. Anyway, try it..., paisa vassol-mind refreshing movie.

"TMD" is a brilliantly executed film. We had already seen a lot of movies depicting school/college life. But TMD was fresh and school life looks more similar to ones we had; the dialogues, stories, events look more sincere and that is why TMD stands top of other similar themed movies.

Thannermathan dinangal is directed by debutant girish ad, starring Matthew Thomas of kumbalangi nights fame and anaswara rajan of udaharanam sujatha fame and vineeth sreenivasan in an important role. When I saw its trailer, I felt it would be a fun watch. The movie is based on jaison played by Matthew Thomas whose +1 and +2 life according to him is filled with two sorrows. One is Malayalam teacher Ravi padmanabhan(Vineeth sreenivasan) who becomes the heartthrob of the school with his charm and energy always trying to ridicule jaison. Second is his school crush keerthi(anaswara rajan) who doesn't reciprocate to his feelings and hurts him by being friendly towards other boys. Rest is whether jaison's these two sorrows go or not. Biggest plus points of the film is the performance of all the students right from Matthew Thomas, anaswara and the friends. All of them are well cast and look like school students unlike films like adaar love,June and 18am padi where none of them don't look like school students. Then there is lot of comedy without any vulgarity or double meaning which you can enjoy with your family. Then there is the dileesh pothan style of filmmaking keeping things simple and realistic. Vineeth sreenivasan's character is quite superficial. His dad has played such kind of sweet villain roles in the past. His character is somewhat similar to his dad's character in mukundetta sumithra vilikunu. Even though bit over the top his performance is also a highlight. Overall thannermathan dinangal is a very entertaining local teen film which will be loved by current school students and bring nostalgia for previous students. Adults may find it silly but they can't ignore the fact that they too went through this stage in their life. Watch and enjoy.
