After seeing the clips and trailer, I had to check it out, and basically, this is good. The idea of having Teen Titans Go meet the Teen Titans from the original show is a neat idea, as it allows for some good meta jokes to be made between the two series. My only gripes are the way the original Titans are animated (which I will let slide, as doing the traditional hand-drawn animation would take time and money), and they didn't bring back Puffy AmiYumi to do the theme song, but it has a good story, the action the Teen Titans Go! series needs more of, and even a cameo by the Teen Titans from the DC Animated Films. This is a good movie that is worth watching at least once.

At first I started to uninterested because of the movie's slow pacing and unfunny jokes. But as the story progressed I actually found it entertaining and funny. Overall, this movie isn't the best movie I've ever seen but it was still enjoyable.

Director Jeff Mednikow deserves praise for being behind this wholesome, short, hour and seventeen minute movie. Right off the bat i want to emphasize on the fact that this is a seriously under rated, feel good movie. Not to mention it was absolutely hilarious and as an audience we remained invested throughout the entire duration of the movie.
I think a huge factor to why the movie was so enjoyable would be that it paid great homage to the original Teen Titans show which was the childhood of many. This was especially cool because it builds a bridge between those who grew up watching the original and those who grew up watching Teen Titans Go, choosing neither side but instead evoking a sense of kinsman-ship and satisfying both crowds. In this process a great contrast between the Titans is shown and it perhaps might be the real pulling factor for the movie where the production team decided to have the same voice actor for both versions of each character and indeed it played off well. This is a great example of how well written the script is.
Also, music numbers were original, yes definitely cringe worthy but also would make you smile if you understand the references.
My own personal favorite edition to the movie were the cameos done by the other versions of the teen titans and certainly the chemistry between the two Trigons.
I do however feel like it could have been longer for sure and could even have had more character accuracy for the original titans perhaps.
Unfortunately however as of December 2019, Teen Titans Vs Teen Titans GO! only made around $308,000 in DVD and Blu Ray sales which would be the least a DC Animation movie has earned to date, which in my opinion is tragic because it was a very fun watch, hitting the right notes and should be recognized for it. Critic ratings have also been average, this is meant to be a fun, silly watch and should also be judged with that mindset.
A straight-to-video sequel that somehow turned out better than the first film.

Now, now, keep an open mind. This is my own personal opinion.
Yeah, I know, it still won't top Trouble in Tokyo, or even Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but I just love watching the original Titans again. Yeah, I will say, some of the writing can be a little immature, two songs weren't very memorable, the animation on the 2003 counterparts aren't as well done, and it just wasn't the best comeback for the 2003 series. But the writing, most of the time, can be very good, most of the jokes can be funny, it does have its more serious moments, the acting is great, the fight scenes are epic, and I just love how the Teen Titans of infinite Earths joined together.

1 is too high of a rating for this movie. It wasn't "Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans" but "Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans Go! Draw With Slightly More Normal Proportions". The Teen Titans characters were completely out of character compared to the original show. The movie lacked the seriousness, charm and well-placed good humor that the original show had and instead relied solely on the same stupidity present in Go! to carry it. When you tease a revival, at least make an effort to write the characters well regardless of how you bring them back. This is a mockery. Go! was bad enough but they're trying to ruin to original Teen Titans now too.

With no prior exposure to either variation of the Teen Titans, I watched "Teen Titans Go To the Movies" at the cinema back in 2018 and found it an enjoyable, if perhaps slight, experience. My son though has, in the intervening couple of years, come to really love "Teen Titans Go!" and was insistent that we get a hold of this sequel as soon as we could.
During a battle with Gentleman Ghost (Weird Al Yankovic), his possession of Raven (Tara Strong) causes her gemstone to crack and release more of her dark demon power into the world. The gang are then kidnapped by The Master of Games (Rhys Darby) and forced to battle their ultimate opponents, themselves. Or at least, an alternate version of themselves. When the ultimate evil behind this scene reveals themselves, the two teams are forced to come together and save the multiverse.
Again, I have no dog in this fight, having never seen 2003 "Teen Titans" at all and with most of my exposure to "Teen Titans Go" either that first film, or the youtube clips I've been shown. So I'm reviewing this one on what I felt alone, and not coming in with my agenda. And I thought it was . . . . alright. I liked the animation style and the voice performances are really good, especially as the cast are playing (at least) two variations of the characters. Not quite as strong as "To the Movies" but still a reasonable time. It does nothing too revolutionary, especially as multiverse crossovers are all the rage at the moment.
Tough to recommend that people go out of their way to see it, but it's solid enough.

When many of us wanted a revival of Teen Titans, I doubt a crossover movie with Teen Titans Go was something we wanted. Just like with Teen Titans Go To The Movies, expectations can be turned on our heads. This movie is very funny, with a nice amount of action and both teams portrayed respectfully. A nice solid message on teamwork helps make the movie great.

Teen Titans Go! Vs Teen Titans is an incredible crossover combining the old and new versions of the Teen Titans in colourful, fast paced and consistently extremely funny animated movie. The voice acting is excellent the action is enjoyable and there are some surprisingly effective self aware moments. However, Rhys Darby is massively underutilized.

Well, that was surprizing!
Being a long term TTG fan I highly anticipated the release of this movie,
but from the fact that this one was a direct-to-DVD-release with a clearly
smaller budget, less advertizing and a trailer that, while not being bad,
didn't catch my attention quite as much as the one for the previous movie,
I assumed this one was gonna be good, but not nearly as good as TTGTTM.
However, Teen Titans Go vs Teen Titans shattered this and many others of
my expectations. It might be just that I have just finished watching it,
but I am otherwise fairly positive that I prefer this to TTGTTM and is now
my favourite superhero/animated film. This film went in a different direction,
to the TTGTTM one. That one was a hilarious direct mockery of bigger products
in the superhero industry than it, while this one is more like a fan service
for the superhero fans of both generations. That movie focused mostly on
comedy with some heartfelt moments, while this one had a lot of comedy,
but was actually mostly focused on intense fight scenes. That makes perfect
sense, as fully-comedic spoofs of the superhero genre is what Teen Titans Go!
is all about, and fighting sequences is largely what the old Teen Titans was
mostly about.
Being that good wasn't even close to being the only thing that surprized me about TTGvsTT. No, no, no! The majority of the movie's plot is obvious from the trailer, but the way it's executed is what's unexpected to me. For one, I didn't expect this movie to have random musical numbers like in TTGTTM, but as Teen Titans Go! have always been exellent in the music departament it shouldn't be so shocking. Without going into spoiler territory, I will just state that another thing I didn't think was going to happen is the film focusing so much screen and story time on Raven (both of them). While at no point does it feel like an all-out Raven© movie, it definitely is more about her than the other titans. As Raven is by far my favourite titans and superhero, I didn't mind it at all and actually prefer it that way.
There is one factor about the movie that can make it look bad in a spare amount of moments, and that is the animation. The animation in TTGvsTT is....weird. The movie is animated entirely in Flash, as expected from a TTG movie, but the animation of the main characters and the secondary assets is of a very confusing quality. It is definitely more energetic and expressive than the animated series, but it doesn't have the high enough jump in quality that the theatrical release of TTGTTM had in order to look so fantastic. Here the animators are trying to make the characters move around as much as possible, without really having resources than the TV series. Part of why the TTG series animation looks so appealing to me, despite being a person who typpically prefers hand-drawn, is that the characters at any given time are either very still or move really fast and the transitions from one to another are also done as fast as possible, to give it a sort of hand-drawn feel to it. However, here the animation is made to make the movements on the characters more human-realistic, which makes it less... cartoony-realistic. One small quirk I noticed, for example, is TTG Robin's hair and cape moving around as he walks about or makes sharp movements. This is not present in the show. It may make it more realistic, but it makes it look worse in a cartoon sense, as the movements on the cape are too smooth and slow. The original TT characters have almost the same character designs, with minute changes, but move differently as they are now in flash. You get used to it during the runtime and it isn't all that noticeable. Anyway, I spent too much time on a small nitpick.
When I say intense fight scenes, I mean intense fight scenes. Towards the end I seriously felt like I was watching a Dragon Ball movie, it was that intense. I can see how they may have saved some of budget when it came to the first part of the movie to make the last part look as good as possible. I originally went to see "Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse" when it was in theaters and it was meh, better than I expected it, and I can say that the whole alternate-versions concept was done very similarly there first, but it is definitely much better done here.
Overall, I recommend this movie to everyone. It has fantastic action, perfect comedy, great characters, well written story, catchy music and surprizing twists of events. It really does have something for everyone! I encourage you to buy this in DVD or Blu-ray, and support it however you can. If they sell enough copies they might just show this in theaters, which I would definitely see.

I am not lying about the title. This is rather long.
I am not a fan of TTG. I do, however, like TT. I hate this movie, though, and the reason is not because its Teen Titans GO (but honestly, that is why I doubted it). I gave it a chance though and all I can say is that I wish for my time back.
This spoils some crucial plot elements and a full-ish description of the plot is at the end.
Now the most jarring problem. The animation is choppy. The animation really rears its ugly head when the Teen Titans (not GO) get introduced. Ugh. The animation is choppy, but it literally looks like one frame was placed at the beginning, then the inbetween frame was chopped into threes and then the end frame. Technically speaking, the animation is better, but creatively speaking, it sucks.
The plot is rather interesting on paper if you remove the Santa Claus part, and even the santa claus part could be executed well. None of that is executed well, either. Its not even that it was executed poorly, it was just bad. I could sit through it, but probably because I spent most of my time pointing out its flaws. The execution was less than stellar. For example, the TTG Titans act like normal, I guess, the TT Titans are flawed, especially Robin and Starfire, but especially Starfire. The first fight scene was pretty boring and the jokes were jokes? I think I would find a documentary about frogs funnier. I like the rhyming in the songs or something but the songs (and the TT Titans and Starfires) are hard to sit through, damn. Robin rapping is horrendous, damn. I guess this was supposed to be comedy or parody maybe but I can't tell, because its hard to tell "joke" from actual line. The characters' wits and likability seem to fluctuate up and down and are often hand in hand, specifically for the TTG characters. There were some interesting moments in the movie, not gonna lie and say it was boring, and the writing was rather cool. The TTG Titans being themselves ruined the moments though. I know they are being in character, but that is what happens when your characters are stupid. Oh, and to the fight scenes. They are boring. All of them.
Character. Robin and Starfire of TT are out of character. Starfire in TT was naive but she could be serious when the time came. TT Starfire is TTG Starfire but less childish and a bit more serious. TT Robin when interacting with TTG Robin is just.. bad. There is a problem in it. His character just changes, especially at the end. All throughout the interaction with Robin, its clear that Robin cant stand TTG Robin and honestly, why do they keep trying to put something in it.
The conclusion, mainly the conclusion of TTG Raven's internal conflict is what I am here to talk about. The internal conflict was very interesting, with Raven battling her inner demons (ha haa). It would have been great if the show didnt immediately reset to the status quo. It could have at least changed something due to the events of the show, but literally everything is entirely the same. The external conclusion was rather boring and forgettable. Even rewatching the movie. Rewatching the movie, TTG Raven basically turned the ending into agar.io. I would say Raven transforming is cool but it wasnt and neither was the "epic" final fight. For me, fights require fast paced motion and hits, or at least cool hits and IMPACT. This has unnecessary garbage where it doesnt need to be (all the slow motion). This is boring to watch. The animation makes it look sad. The fights are generally just boring and do not offer much. They dont offer much impact
Overall, it had something but that something is lost, making a boring and forgettable movie. Mostly boring. I would rather watch a romantic comedy cause most of them are strung together consistently and the characters actually stay in character.
I do like some things though. The theme song at the beginning. The Darkseid thing was cool and all and the Titans casually ignoring destruction made me smile as well as some of the other jokes and moments. The Robin wombat joke and the world smells like gatbage joke made me laugh. the fact they acknowledged all the differences between the shows, whilst it doesnt make for cool differences, it does show how their personalities clash, which I like and how their worlds really are different. Robin's plan makes sense when he explains it and anyone can understand it. On paper, the fact that they are talking about Santa Claus sounds sad on paper, but I find Santa is the best part of this. Its interesting how its not some guy built for this, but rather, a character who moreso suits the secondary villain role. He has a personal vendetta with the Titans, acknowledging past events previously occurring in TTG. TTG Robin being jealous of the other Robin when he does better is in character (see TTG episode Super Robin). I like how the Starfires in the first song say "B" which means b**ch. It references some old Teen Titans material. Both Trigons are in character mostly. I also do like how they summon past forms of the Titans that have appeared both here and in the past episodes in the external conclusion.
read carefully: below is the plot. The full plot. Or at least most of it. This review contains spoilers but below are elements of the plot. Plot points, if you may. Please, read on only if you want to.
The kinda full plot kinda in its entirety: Today's plot is that Raven cracks her gem after defeating the Gentleman Ghost. So the TTG characters are kidnapped by mysterious figures (later revealed to be the Titans) to fight. Eventually its down to Raven v Raven. The battle proves to be a fake, set up by both of the Trigon characters because they noticed that the TTG Raven cracked her gem, which, once it breaks, will unleash the power needed to fully revive TT Trigon (he is missing a leg). The Ravens are taken by the Trigon characters and held whilst the other Titans think of a plan to retrieve the Worlogog, the device used to see the best versions of heroes and bring them over. The Ravens escape the Trigon characters and wonder the streets of TT Jump City doing something, back to the Titans. Some stuff happens, the Starfires sing a song about working together which is reminiscent of late 80s early 90s rap by Kid N' Play and fashion clearly done by Salt N' Pepa, the TTG characters sing a song about how fun Worlogog is to pronounce and how the Teen Titans need to mellow out and chill every once in a while and the plan is worked out (forgot the order, but it definitely wasnt that). They have go to Santa Claus and have to defeat him and take the Worlogog (it only makes sense that only he has the other one since he seems to be able to travel so quickly to every good boy and girl in the world). I wont get into the details of everything but they take it, get to the Trigons (forgot how), summon all versions of the Titans and defeat the Trigons and Raven says she will treat her demons better. I dont generally remember around the end.

He has a personal vendetta with the Titans, acknowledging past events previously occurring in TTG. TTG Robin being jealous of the other Robin when he does better is in character (see TTG episode Super Robin). I like how the Starfires in the first song say "B" which means b**ch. It references some old Teen Titans material. Both Trigons are in character mostly. I also do like how they summon past forms of the Titans that have appeared both here and in the past episodes in the external conclusion.
read carefully: below is the plot. The full plot. Or at least most of it. This review contains spoilers but below are elements of the plot. Plot points, if you may. Please, read on only if you want to.
The kinda full plot kinda in its entirety: Today's plot is that Raven cracks her gem after defeating the Gentleman Ghost. So the TTG characters are kidnapped by mysterious figures (later revealed to be the Titans) to fight. Eventually its down to Raven v Raven. The battle proves to be a fake, set up by both of the Trigon characters because they noticed that the TTG Raven cracked her gem, which, once it breaks, will unleash the power needed to fully revive TT Trigon (he is missing a leg). The Ravens are taken by the Trigon characters and held whilst the other Titans think of a plan to retrieve the Worlogog, the device used to see the best versions of heroes and bring them over. The Ravens escape the Trigon characters and wonder the streets of TT Jump City doing something, back to the Titans. Some stuff happens, the Starfires sing a song about working together which is reminiscent of late 80s early 90s rap by Kid N' Play and fashion clearly done by Salt N' Pepa, the TTG characters sing a song about how fun Worlogog is to pronounce and how the Teen Titans need to mellow out and chill every once in a while and the plan is worked out (forgot the order, but it definitely wasnt that). They have go to Santa Claus and have to defeat him and take the Worlogog (it only makes sense that only he has the other one since he seems to be able to travel so quickly to every good boy and girl in the world). I wont get into the details of everything but they take it, get to the Trigons (forgot how), summon all versions of the Titans and defeat the Trigons and Raven says she will treat her demons better. I dont generally remember around the end.

I've seen this movie about 5 times now and I have to admit, it was pretty good. Not the most original movie out there, but one of the best animated movies from DC to date! I was right to be optimistic about this from the beginning.
A lot of people are giving this s**t just because the OG are in flash animation, but in all honesty it makes sense. The Go! Titans are done in flash so it doesn't really bother me that the OG are too. I could care less about the animation since I grew up on shows done in flash. The point is the animation doesn't really matter, it's if their personalities are still the same as we remember. In some aspects they are, in some they aren't; nevertheless, you can still easily recognize the Titans we all know and love.
It may not be what we wanted, but we'll just have to suck it up and deal with it. Who knows? Maybe we'll get the season 6 like we wanted, the voice actors are still optimistic about a 6th season and so are many others, so don't lose hope you guys.
But for now, this is something everyone can enjoy for a while. After all, you can't judge a book by its cover, can you?

Better than Teen Titans Go! To The Movies but still bad

It was a relief to see the old Team Titans, but sadly the overall characterisations were off and it truly was just another TTG entry - shallow, not as clever or funny as it's trying to be, and overrun with unnecessary musical numbers.
The cameos were nice (too bad they were kept to a bare minimum) and the running theme of Starfire's reactions to Robin was the only recurring theme that was amusing to me.
Kevin Michael Richardsen was great voicing Trigon and the overall general plot was a vast improvement from the previous TTG movie, but for fans of the original Teen Titans series (or the Young Justice series, or the various standalone DC movies featuring Robin/Nightwing etc) this was still very disappointing.

This is a series me and my kids enjoy. I remember the first Teen Titans and just seeing them both on the screen is a true joy. I just wish they would have put this in the theater. The last movie did so well making a huge profit. I wonder why they did a straight to blu ray release?

This movie is hilarious and super funny. I really enjoyed watching it.
If you are a fan of Teen Titans Go, then you must watch it. It has the typical Teen Titans Go's joke. I hope that they could make more Teen Titans Go movie in the future.
