Fun, sad, and inspiring
ktgodinez8 August 2019
I saw the other two BTS movies and I have to say that this was way better. It had great pacing, with good choices in editing to make the movie flow between scenes. It had a great selection of back stage moments and songs! I would recommended it to non fans. It had a good balance of hardships and fun times. I could feel their passion which in turn made me want to work harder! Over all a great movie!

The Side We Rarely Get To See
jasminn_tan2 May 2020
I'm a long time fan of BTS so my review might be biased but this is a great concert film that shows its audience the different sides of BTS when they're on tour. I appreciate their energy during their concerts but my favourite part about this is the quietness and the relative normalness that they experience during tours. I loved the quiet moments because they're rarely something that we, as fans, get to witness. They're always trying to show us their best selves, so it took a lot of courage for them to show us times where they're weak or vulnerable. I'm always proud of them and this film only strengthens that sentiment. They work hard and they get tired or sick or hurt and they feel guilty about it, when all we want is to see them. I kept thinking that it didn't matter that their performances weren't perfect because most of us don't really see those imperfections. But these incredible men are so passionate and hardworking that you can't help but feel that through the screen as they push themselves even harder to give fans the best concert experience. They're so wonderful and I hope they'll continue climbing.

Good Concert Film
legadillo-972468 August 2019
Good behind-the-scenes film even if you're not a fan of the globe's most endearing boy band. If you are a fan, add another star. Tae-Hyung and Hobi shine. I'd sell my house for a seat at their next end-of-tour Parisian dinner. Stay after the credits or you'll miss much charming YouTube-style derping. The movie of the 2019 tour can't be far off.

Beautiful

Great mix of performing, montage, interviews, humor, and cuteness. Loved spending this time getting to know the ins and outs of the BTS tour. Namjoon's words were so deep. Will watch again!

BRING THE SOUL :THE MOVIE, How I brought my soul to the movie of bts and finally let go of my hatred and anger.
Lawyergirl13118 August 2019
I have never watched a bts movie and I got to do it today alone in a cinema full of girls, boys, men and women I sat down gently and quietly and started watching with the others who were filled with love and anticipation for the movie. Being my first time the first thing I saw was a red light waving thing and people screaming and singing that was how I got the goosebumps that never went away. I watched them dance and sing, I also watch them ate a lot lol and I began to see it was a flashback something and I begin to realize why they're popular, why people love them so much all over the world. These seven young men are amazing and passionate I'm a defense lawyer (I have a friend who's crazy about them she bought me the ticket couldn't make it because we each have a different schedule so she will be watching after my time) and I see a lot of messed up things since my clients are usually made up of abused women and young girls and my hatred for men and society began to grow until this evening that I saw bts at the cinema. The choreography is always in sync and amazing, the vocals, the trust they've with each other on that stage, the energy and above all the fans singing every tune with them (I finally realized why my friend uses their music to prepare during court sessions) and above all I saw a beautiful strong brotherhood - friendship they've among themselves. I heard their closing speech and during the time I was watching I was on Google and shazam, googling them and since my friend already sent me the lyrics before I entered to watch I was able to Shazam the song read lyrics to catch up (I must have looked like a newbie to the others lol) I finally found some songs that I love which not totally coincidence my friend loves too. The lyrics helped me to understand and why I made the decision to give up on hate, I love the songs LOVE MYSELF:ANSWER , MAGIC SHOP and I'M FINE. I told myself I needed to be fine to love myself I let myself digest the lyrics I felt the power of the words and I understood finally. The movie is great the boys are dynamics they reached out to my soul as if their hands were touching it (I told my friend these words when she finished watching it during our ride back home she asked the taxi driver to stop and showed me a video of them on unicef during friend ship day) I watched the video describing my exact words of them touching my soul, I sat down on the pavement and bawl out like a baby I cried my sorrows away, I cried out loudly and silently with no care in the world people passing by thought something happened stopping to ask or look (I'm 27 yrs old I didn't care or give a cr*p) my friend was reassuring them that everything is OK. Seeing that video of unicef triggered something in me, my bottle up anger and sadness of everything in my life and job just burst out. These boys aren't made of steel or have super power but their songs sure do because you feel all their love and emotions in those songs. This movie opened up a lot of things for me, I think bts are what I needed all these time maybe in the back of my mind I already knew I will love them for life if I ever decided to stop ignoring them and listen to my friend and she wasn't wrong one bit. This movie has what it takes to really see a genuine, real and passionate artists who loves what they do, aren't afraid to show their emotions and weaknesses and with God and those battalions of fans I saw on the screen they are well protected and love. This movie has joy, fun, good editing maybe the best (not exaggerating) though a few emotional scenes which is good I can say I didn't waste my time one bit. Their concert is must for me and I plan to go if they ever made it to my country and I hope they do and I also know I won't regret it. Though this might not sound like a review since it's too long and such I just wanted to say what was on my mind and I hope if you're considering going to see the movie that you really go see it, it will be worth it and it will make you feel refresh and light hearted. I'm still on Google checking up on them that's how I found this site and decided to share my THOUGHTS. A good movie like this deserves to be seeing a thousand times and I hope they make more like this in the future. Bts wherever you're right now thank you for making these great songs and I promise I won't ignore or abandon you I will support you forever please keep on making amazing music for us. I love the fans too (getting updates from my friend) you guys are lucky to have this group as your artist I hope y'all will keep supporting them they're a gem you won't ever discover twice (they're the first kpop group I've ever seen or heard I'm a Rihanna fan) support and love them, shower them with love and praises because they deserve it as seen from the movie. Watch this movie, go home and listen to the album love myself answer (ps that's my favorite album as of today on Spotify) BTS THANK YOU

Good job!!
ilovefoodcoma9 August 2019
It's nice to see behind the scenes and when they are not on the stage or in front of the camera. This kind of documentary shows how much time and effort they put in for their career. Also we get to see their real personality when they interact with their band members.

What to expect for the curious nonfans
chocoholic_emily8 August 2019
Expect a (well produced) documentary style with a lose structure, following the boys' day-to-day as they tour across the world. Expect your Army friends to tear up, to laugh a lot, and to cheer and clap in certain parts. Expect some quiet head bopping during certain parts when concert footages are shown.

So BTS always talks about the various personas people have to put on in order to function in society. Likewise, BTS as an entity has multiple personas. To me, the movie showed who BTS are as they don their performer persona onstage and then become regular dudes again off stage. You get the sense that BTS are just boys in their 20s pursuing and making their career.

The lady (probably in her late 30s) next to me was newly introduced to BTS by her nephew. I heard her laugh, I heard her say "aww" multiple times, and i saw her swaying to some of the songs. Afterwards, her first words to her nephew were "What are their names again? I want to learn their names." Seems like someone is about to fall into the BTS blackhole! :)

The movie was amazing!!
sapphirebaker7 August 2019
The movie showed hardships in the lives and showed us how much fans meant them. Concert content that you can only see when you've attended was included and it was so great to watch and feel like you were actually there. I would happily go again tomorrow.

Even as a fan, I found it a bit boring
Iben-schalck-110 August 2019
First I have to say, the screaming that went on in the cinema was definitely a part of my experience with the movie as a whole. Even though I am a fan, I could not concentrate over the "ooh"'s and "ahh"'s and the screaming going on every 2 minutes.

Apart from the teenage disturbance in the front, I actually enjoyed some parts of the movie, but I also found some parts rather boring. And the aesthetic was unbalanced, and I had a hard time finding out if the movie was meant to be a concert movie or a backstage/documentary movie. They didn't bring us behind the curtains for real. I felt like I was watching a lot of "fancy" Bangtan Bombs put together. And unfortunately, I didn't feel that the (very) short deep moments from RM could save the documentary as a whole.

The music and the members personalities still shine through to some extent, and I loved the clips from their dinner in Paris, even though I felt it was edited very quickly, which didn't let me linger in the emotions that I felt was intended.

Maybe I expected too much?

I felt in love even more...
justynalilits7 August 2019
I must say - I didn't expect this to be better than last movie and yet, AGAIN, BTS positively surprised me. I'm more in love in them that I was yesterday but still less than I will be tomorrow and I think it will stay that way with me and those amazing musicians. It was funny, charming, emotional and deep. When Namjoon started to talk about his definition of love and all those thoughts I wanted to sit down with him and have long conversation about this topic. Isn't this a dream for all armys? Being able to talk with such amazing and wise person must be probably intimidating but then I remembered how cute, goofy and funny he can be...

I wish to buy this movie. Thank you BTS for this amazing journey, hope we will continue this trip to the end of our lives.

ugvekarsam8 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
They really work hard for Us in Providing Good Performance and excellent choreography

. they tire themselves out in doing so

I really wish they get time in exploring the real me.in them

I know they understand it But It really concerns me that they overwork for perfection

Them being perfectionist is an added Gem to the performance in the Concert or their Albums..

They know everything about Us and we are just on Our Journey to Know them

Now 💜💜💜

A Docu-Series with snippets of concert stage performace of selected songs.
josielenraamora7 August 2019
BTS, Bangtan Sonyeondan, Beyond the Scene 7 member Korean boys who swept the world with their music and message shares this intimate behind the scenes of their Love Yourself Tour ending in their Europe Tour 2018. It was a humbling watch to see how they have been through the changes of their fame with both the good and the bad parts but still manage to keep their selves grounded and continue to take care of their self (physically, mentally and emotionally) as an artist and individual. After Burning the Stage (from their previous docu movie title) they are now in the stage where they have to Bring their Soul to it, every stage and performance for their fans worldwide. From this movie you can see each of the member trying hard to do that which I know makes their fans, Army, proud and inspired. Known to have sold out stadium tour for their Love Yourself Speak Yourself tour I definitely recommend to watch this movie to see why.

Excellent movie for fans and non fans.
khad-786447 August 2019
BTS releasing Bring the soul movie in the cinemas is an excellent opportunity for their fans to watch them on the big screen and also for non fans if they're trying to understand what the hype around BTS is. This movie is perfect because not only does it show how ordinary they are but also their characteristics, their brotherhood, their hardwork and hardships. It displays their talent on stage and how they are off stage. The movie itself was very funny especially the post credit scenes. However it was also emotional at times although much of the emotional scenes already known so it wasn't shocking. Most of all it was great to see BTS as human beings and their journey of their love yourself tour and to see their success and to see them reaping the fruits of their success and seeing them also recognise and appreciate it.

Indeed Bringing the Soul
miafionae9 August 2019
Still has the intensity like the previous docu-movie, yet I can feel this time the production team had different approach.

The cuts chosen are well edited into a structured story. Well placed songs and scores too. A mix of laughs and tears. These seven guys work really hard, and how behind all the success they're still mindful of others around them.

If they keep making movies, I'll keep watching them.

Purple this movie

Warning: Spoilers
The film was wonderful. The gentlemen of BTS were vulnerable and amusing. My heart broke with the struggles they endure to spend these precious hours with us. It was also ever more evident as I watched what extraordinary human beings they are. I don't know how a human being can feel as much love and kindness as they show to each other and staff ....and not implode. They are made of better material than most of humanity that is certain. Namjoon's philosophical musings left me pondering more of where his, and the other members, destiny will take them. I am hungry for the journey forward because these young men have great futures far beyond the dance we are dancing today.

Beautiful
fb-153458 August 2019
Absolutely moving. Such beautiful, talented young men. Their hard work and talent is absolutely unmatched and brilliant to witness. After seeing them live during concert, being able to see the behind of all the work they put in to create and perform such a show is refreshing. Displaying their respective vulnerabilities and struggles, although difficult, was beautiful, bittersweet and allowed us to view them in a relatable light. Their lighthearted moments were a joy to watch, such wonderful, funny boys who have created a family and have such complex and unique personalities. To see them get so excited over food, to it somewhat bringing them together as a way to bond... I adore these men so much. I am so proud of all 7 members of BTS and their journey so far.

Really Inspiring
springbloom7 August 2019
We all know BTS as the global phenom that they are....But what goes on behind all those glitz and stage?...a good docu-movie to get to know about the lads...this movie seems a little bit more personal than the previous....the boys let you in on their inner thoughts, concerns, their work...watching how hard they work at their craft is simply inspiring....if you are just getting to know BTS or simply love BTS, this movie is a good go-to....

Great for everyone: those who never heard of kpop to hardcore fans
aimihanibal8 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I think the movie was great for people who have never heard of kpop or BTS in that matter. Personally, though, I have found the movie a little bit "dry" as to the member's personalities never got a chance to really come through (e.g. Jin and his dad jokes and windshield laughter, or V and his weird/unique personality). They never got the chance to really spotlight their unique features and quirks.

It also felt like the movie only briefly brushed through some not-so-happy topics (e.g. Jungkook's injured ankle or V's loss of voice), but it never really went "deeper" to show the internal struggle they must have had when being unable to fully perform. It was more on a note of "oh yeah, he injured himself so he cannot perform now, ok, let's move on".

As for the movie plot, it was all happening on a "rooftop in Paris" as you have probably already read, where the boys sit around a table enjoying a hefty meal (which was not a typical Korean food for a change!) and reminisce about the events of the Love Yourself World Tour, which was happening from August 2018 until April 2019. The movie is a set of clips jumping from the eating table to some events from the world tour, not only highlighting the positive experiences (e.g. the band getting good vibes and love from their fans) but the negative ones as well (see above). Each "clip" from the tour contains a different song (except for Mic Drop, which was shown twice throughout the movie). There is also a segment of what the members did during their free time when not performing either on their own (i.e. Jin visiting a ZOO, and J-Hope taking a walk) or with the rest of the band (e.g. working out, watching their performance, etc.).

I really appreciated that the movie also showed the "not so great" moments and the member's struggles, but like I've already mentioned it would have been great if their struggles, feelings, etc. could have been shown in more detail. Other than that, I'd really recommend this movie to anyone: from people who have no idea what kpop is to hardcore fans.
