This is onely the second epsiode of this series that I saw but I really liked it. Ive been a big Edie Falco fan for 3 years ever since I saw her on "The Sopranos". She is a great actor who can do really great things and makes me care about her character and what she's going thru.
This episode is about what the title says its basically "19 hours" in a day of Tommy the police Chief of Los Angeles. There is a bomb threat and a mudslide on 405 freeway in that city.
Because like I said I have only seen one other episode of the show I dont know if shes a regular character or not but the person "Tommy" lives with is "Kate" and she is really a difficult person to like. Maybe that was the intention of the director i don't know. Any way there is the bomb threat like i said earlier and tommy has to figure out "is it real"? They could use some cool police technology to try to figure that out but because they dont have a "warrant" Tommy says no.
After that there is a protest about the "environment" and the protest people are getting out of hand can tommy handle it? But then there day gets even worse because there is a mudslide on the freeway. This is realistic because I've read some stories about how there are mudslides in Los Angeles and also because the environment is a big issue out there so I believe there woudl be protesters.
The protester's get angrier and angrier and Kate is stuck in the mud slide on the freeway and Tommy has to keep telling the bad guy who wants to use the computer tech to hack into phones No! because they should have a warrant. I thinkt this was good because sometimes police abuse there authority and they should have to abide by the laws. Dont get me wrong I like the police and respect law enforcement but i think they should have to also follow the rules.
Any way the ending is very exciting but I won't spoil it here but the bomber does something you didn't expect them to do. its a good episode.
