Raj and Rishi were well past their prime during this movie. It shows in every frame. A bit heavy and bulky, they hardly look as orphaned young chirpy boys . Both are street hawkers. Street smart Raj Babbar is always looking for easy money and his loose morals help a lot . Rishi, his friend on the other hand is a man of principles. His girl friend Meenakshi ( in a sadly very short role ) dies soon after one duet . She has hardly a 10 minute role in this movie . Raj and Rishi are travelling when they see an old man with a suit case full of money in their train . Upon his sudden death, Raj steals that money and starts a big business . His daughter Sujatha comes searching for that money . Both Raj and Sujatha fall in love , A few duets later , she realises that shes carrying his child. A very ambitious Raj just abondanes her and marries the rich daughter of his boss Shafi Inamdaar . A sad repentent Sujatha is about to commit suicide when Rishi ( who is depressed over his lover's death ) takes charge and introduces himself as her husband to her family . Both Rishi and Sujatha get married . He becomes a dutiful father to Raj's son. Meanwhile Raj grows very rich but is child less. The doctors reveal that he cannot have a child . His wife suggest adoption. He comes back to Sujatha and tries to snatch back his son . Meanwhile Sujatha and Rishi grow close and Raj returns back a loser . A fine family fare .
