A Long Play at the Community Theater

This is only a film in the sense that it was filmed. It was essentially a play set it a house with two people pretending to see things. There were problems with mic placement, camera placement, etc. There was an ok plot but it didn't really have a story arc that went anywhere, and it doesn't have a score. If it's understood that it could have been written and produced in a week with no budget, it's well enough done, but it does move slowly.

Low Budget Film That Went Of The Tails

The movie is very low budget. I did enjoy the couple's relationship.

This is not an original story (mysterious person offers something in a box; things go wrong).

The movie went on too long and went off the rails. The ending should have come much, much sooner.

Great concept, horrible execution.

This should have been a thirty minute Twilight Zone episode. They managed to stretch it out to two hours (felt like four) by making each scene so long and drawn out. You don't need to film Michael spending a full three minutes taking off his jacket. You could show him starting to take it off, and quickly cut to the jacket hanging off the back of the chair. 8 seconds. Done. And we understand that he took his jacket off. Every scene was this long and boring. Spoiler: Michal takes his jacket off, and that's one of the more interesting scenes.

The Life Peddler was definitely a great find! The plot was full of fun twists and it kept me on the edge of my seat towards the end. Loved some of the creative editing done as well. What really makes the movie was the compelling acting from the leads!
