The film was shot over 10 months, due to the availability of continuous funds. Because of this, the seasons and weather jump from winter to summer during some scenes. However it appears the "jumping" seasons was used by the filmmakers to help establish a particular scenes' emotion. Whether this was done intentional or accidentally is unknown.
The film was completed and screened. The director, Christopher Maher, sat back down at his computer the very next day and began the new 'Enlightenment' cut because he was so unhappy about it. It took another two years to complete.
The director Christopher Maher pulled this film from any future screenings after the premiere. It has never been screened again.
Since the original story, "A Little Courage" was written back in 2000, the film has taken 10 years to complete. With no funding the producers were only able to work on it when time off from their regular jobs was possible and any income they may have earned generally went towards the film.
