Great show, great episode

Just started watching this series after being recommended it, and thought it's great. After seeing the first episode I wasn't quite sure what I thought. It was good, but it just takes some getting used to at first I think. In this one we already feel we know these characters and can relate to them.

FOTC is not like a lot of regular sitcoms out there with a laugh-track and obvious jokes. It's a lot smarter than that. Sort of like Spaced in that regard...

The songs are surprisingly good, and very very funny. Great lyrics, good vocals and they seem to be able to play any genre.

Loved their pi**-take on the Pet Shop Boys' "West End Girls".

All in all hilarious stuff. Hope we'll be seeing a lot more from these guys.

New Zealand likes to rock the party

A brilliant episode, and one of the best in the first season of FOTC. As far as plot and acting go, it's far stronger than the first episode, and Bret really delivers for the first time, completely dominating the episode. The musical numbers are not quite as strong as in the first one, but 'Inner City Pressure' is still one of their catchiest and funniest, though weirdest, tracks; 'Boom' is somewhat weird too but it grows on you, and the music video is one of the best in the series; and of course this is the first appearance of the recurring 'Who Likes to Rock the Party'. The episode also introduces Sutton Foster for the first time as Coko. Fantastic comedy.
