A cracking end to series one.

It didn't take Luke long to find out he was in the hands of an old foe, but in a clever twist, another fie lays in wait.

Very, very well written, this is such an imaginative story, I'd place it just behind Whatever happened to Sarah Jane as series one's standout story.

Quite a lot going on, old enemies, old friends, friends with new knowledge and an enemy hiding in plain sight, definitely well thought out, and well delivered, the cast did a great job.

I loved the information we were given about Mr Smith, up until now, we had just accepted his presence, this explains his origins, and a bit more about his Xylok behaviour.

Loved it, 9/10.

Review of both parts:

This story finishes the first season really strongly.

People show up with seemingly unarguable evidence that Luke is their son and both Luke and Sarah Jane have to come to terms with him being taken to live with these mysterious parents. His friends Clyde and Maria are not happy to accept Luke being taken away and meanwhile Luke is kept in his room by his parents who are increasingly defensive.

The emotional aspect of this story is powerful as we see a family and friends torn apart. The acting and script is very effective and touching. The mystery and suspense is very good and when the drama unfolds it creates plenty of fun and excitement.

This is a strong finish to a very impressive opening series of this Doctor Who spinoff.

My ratings: Part 1 - 8.5/10, Part 2 - 8/10. Overall - 8.25/10.

Series 1 average rating - 8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
It has the moon crashing down, It has Mr. Smith turning evil. It was a lot of things to remember, but it was some top class piece of Acting. I did prefer it from the first half of this brilliant story. Nearly as good as The Trickster story which was top class of brilliance. Great siries finale.

Warning: Spoilers
It was an awesome episode, but Doctor Who will always be better than The Sarah Jane Adventures. The way it showed emotions was awesome. An example of this was when the young slitheen was blinded by revenge and the older slitheens stopped him from killing Sarah Jane. Together Sarah Jane and the slitheens saved each other. Some things don't make sense. The telekinesis headset is the most advanced technology on earth and the room it is in is locked, but the case that it's in is clear and unlocked. Do they want Sarah Jane to steal it? The way aliens and Sarah Jane work together to save Earth is an example of how two races that are enemies can work together and save planets.
