Whether it's a big-budget comic book adaptation, art-house independent or something new on your television screen, we find ourselves spending time with new faces in new places as actors from all around the world attempt to entertain us.
A rising star among that lot is Canadian-born thespian Matthew Kevin
Anderson. Recently appearing in two of the Syfy channels weekly creature/disaster features - also called "Monster-pieces" by one of the film's directors and Stargate veteran David Hewlett - Matthew has been climbing the theatrical ladder. A Vancouver Film School graduate, he got his professional start as Canada's version of Carson Daly hosting an MTV countdown show and interviewing many of the top musicians found in your iPod.
Possessing a long list of TV credits, Anderson has also worked alongside the likes of Anna Paquin, Cuba Gooding Jr. and sci-fi darling Jewel Staite - who just happens to be Matthew's wife.
