Boring practice

This one was the first episode of the series that i dont like, the only good thing its the part of meredith but the part of adisson was awful. Why do you spend 30 minutes to develop a plot that we dont care, and also this is the premiere of private practice, why put it in greys anatomy, they only wanted to have high ratings.

Only Grey's was good

I really liked all of the Grey's content of this episode. That's why it was so sad that it completely drowned in all the Private Practice-stuff. I don't think the Private Practice story was good at all. Addison was goofy and just awkward, not ditsy and funny, like I'm sure they were trying to make her. A lot of awkward and fake dialogue.... I get why they wanted to integrate it of course. But the great story of Grey's Anatomy got lost and that is sad.

I wasn't impressed one bit with this episode. I imagine I'll feel the same way about the next episode also, seeing as it's a two-parter.

OK - we all know about the 'Private Practice' spin off. Why the Grey's writers insist on having 50% of this episode as a 'pilot' type job for 'Private Practice' is beyond me!!! Most of that thread had no bearing at all on Grey's. There was no obvious reason for it except for Private Practice character development. Not impressed at all in blatant programme pushing. Or lazy writing. I'm annoyed because I really enjoy the show, and this seems to be a bit sneaky. I wanted to watch Grey's - not PP...

(BTW - I give it 7 for the storyline directly related to Grey's that I did see, but overall, I would give it 4, as I don't know if/when they're going to show PP over here => waste of my time getting into this programme).

Private Practice Pilot

This Episode begins with Meredith, she is up late watching television. Addison has some days of, she goes to the wellness. Addison meets Maya and Naomi again, she missed them. Addison says to Naomi that she wants to have a baby. Addison is performing a echo on Lisa her belly. Cristina is choosing her wedding dress. Naomi says that Addison can't be pregnant anymore, these are the results after the test. Solid Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 3, this was the Episode with the Private Practice cross-over. It was okay but not exciting at all! I hope for a better second part of this two parts. Let's go!

Awesome... i think I'm going to like the new show even better than Grey's

I got a bit confused and upset at first, as i didn't now it was a new show the were having a 'spin of' but after i found out, i accepted it, as a big fan of Grey's, i think i may like the new show 'private practice' better than Grey's, its fresh, new characters, and i actually like Addison's character in this show, i didn't in Grey's, i think its awesome. Don't get me wrong I'm still going to watch Grey's, but 'private practice' may become my 'fav'! lol! still cant believe I'm saying this, neither can my friends (i have a group of friends and we meet up just to watch Grey's together-all age groups).

SO Awesome Awesome Awesome coming from Australia though, hopefully they show the show at the same time as the US, cant wait to get 'hooked'

The Pilot of Private Practice

I did not watch Private Practice. I have no intention of watching Private Practice. This whole episode was just weird and kind of cringe for me. I don't mind Addison as a character and I was excited that the episode was going to focus around her but this wasn't a Grey's Anatomy episode with intense plot lines and charming humor. No, it was a Private Practice episode. The show about snobby rich people who happen to be doctors.

I give the Grey;s story line an 8, the spin off series a 2, so overall just a 4. Too bad the funny Christina's wedding preparations storyline was interrupted by some other show.

Poor acting, poor character introductions, story is difficult to follow. Taking elevator made no sense - what was that? Looking at the cast list some of the main characters don't even have names.

You can see that this was a cheaper spinoff, and that the Private Practice actors aren't as skilled as the main cast - therefore paid less... they just seemed wooden and 2 dimensional.

Also Addison has an abortion a few weeks ago but now is infertile? Is that medically accurate?

This only two parts because it was interspersed with the Private Practice story. But if it wasn't - the two episodes don't really go together either. The wedding shopping scenes felt like cut scenes from the previous episode.

about Meredith's character

I started hating Meredith's character since the middle of season 2.this session I hated her even more.her mother died a few sessions ago.It was as if nothing has happened.She started calling her 'my dead mother' with such lack of emotion.this session her father's wife dies and she bursts into tears!this is ridiculous!she is such a stranger worshiper.And I detest these people as unfortunately my aunt is a one herself. Secondly,in the previous season she called her mother a whore,though this is she herself who sleeps with every man she feels like and hurts every body's feelings and ruins others lives.And after all she justifies herself!she thinks she's a saint! It's really a pity that such an invidious character is the leading role of this really good movie. I hope that Ellen Pompeo herself,doesn't resemble Meredith at all!
