Warning: Spoilers
A bunch of sweaty construction workers feverishly toil away at their job while the supremely lovely, graceful, and jaunty "Swan Lake" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchiakovsky serenely plays throughout. Sound like nothing really special or memorable? Well, director/editor/cinematographer Luis Arambilet manages to effortlessly pull off an inspired marriage of the mundane with the sublime with truly stunning results. There's something about the juxtaposition of the hard pumping machines and men arduously digging ditches with the gorgeous happy classical music that's not only extremely striking and effective, but also oddly touching. Further blessed with sharp editing and breathtaking cinematography (the overhead shots in particular are simply stupendous), this one's a real treat to watch.
